No update this project for ages as have not really had the cash or the time lol 😂 but I have added remap now pushing approx 210bhp and added black door mirror covers (not that you can tell on the grey) toying with how much more to do I really want a S3 🙂

Hi sorry for bringing back this old post I see the RS3 knob fits the Octavia mk3 however just wanted to check would a normal S line 8v version ? As long as it’s auto and is rear button ? My knob is getting warn !!

Thanks for the info , once the car starts though "sluggish once" the stop start for the reset of the drive is perfect 1 second crank if that , and i thought if it was the battery would be much worst in the cold weather we had but it was not but will check the volts

Ok before I go and spend money at a dealer want to run this past the community 2016 VRS 2.0 TDI with 50k on the clock Randomly and there is no patten the car will struggle to start , either a long crank (circa 5+ seconds) even up to 10 before , and sometimes will start quick but sort sluggish likes struggling for fuel. There is no relation to if its cold or hot weather wise or if engine is hot or cold it can be completely random Once started its fine, it pulls fine, it idles fine Only other thing to mention is i do feel the DPF regen does happen a lot more often than My Audi A3 2.0 TDI but i did put it down to shorter journeys , my MPG is circa average of 50MPG and I get circa 480 miles until warning light - 500 if I push it No warning lights on dash , no noises , apart from this its fine Anyone have any ideas 🙂 ?

Thanks , yes i was tempted with the Petrol but had diesels for a while now and something about the low down ooommmmfff they get .. likely my replacement to this will be a hybrid

Have a 2016 , VRS 2.0 TDI and i get this intermitant long start .. i would not say its a huge deal just enough to hesitate like is it gonna start ,, its not annoying me enough yet it does always start and runs fine . but keeping an eye on this thread :-)

Thanks all for advice so looks lovely a 5mm spacer or get VW style my other car is an a3 and all ways liked Audi wheels the wheels I have wt the moment are they are ok but not my cup of tea looking at either black edition or sline wheels as below

these are the differences all the same apart from ET 56 vs 51 so as I understand these would mean that the Audi wheels would stick out 5mm more ?

Hey I have done some searching and I’m still not sure can 18” Audi A3 wheels fit on the mk3 octavia I believe they will stick out a few more mill but nothing major ? And has anyone done this ? Any cons ?

Hey all thought I would start wa little project log , so far this won’t be that exciting for anyone as it’s all standard stuff managed to buy a very clean vRS mk3 with 42k decent spec heated seats, powered fold mirrors , Lane assist etc and looking to retrofit a few options list below are the plans DONE Apple Car Play Enable Debadged Black Grill TO DO Sound Deadening MiB update to 9.2 screen virtual cockpit ACC POSSIBLE Tan interior leather retrim wrap in white as I really wanted a white one lol 😂 few pics below of work so far watch this space for more

Hi Firstly sorry I know this subject has been covered I have been buried in the searches for a while but could not quite find what I’m looking for I have a 2016 vRS and I was shocked that the road noise is worst than my 2012 `Audi a3 I knew the skoda would be bad just not this bad I’m looking to find the best areas to sound proof and if there are any cut to fit kits or guides to help me along the way and generally get peoples advice who have managed to quieten theirs down thanks Dave

Hey all a quick hello I recently purchased a 2016 VRS Octavia, nice low mileage got most of,the toys I wanted apart from electric sears which seem rare as hell but apart from that it’s pretty max out :)- quick pic below from the garage plans booked in new key only came with 1 activate apple carplay Black grill surround and long term going to get full 9.2 MIB UPGRADE and virtual cockpit retrofitted apart from that unsure
