Hey I have done some searching and I’m still not sure can 18” Audi A3 wheels fit on the mk3 octavia I believe they will stick out a few more mill but nothing major ? 
 

And has anyone done this ?  Any cons ? 

I think the Golus alloys are the best looking 18" wheel for the Octavia & seen similar fitted on Audi's if thats the style you want.

 

Compare the offset and width against your current wheels using something like https://www.willtheyfit.com/

 

Otherwise, check the PCD and centre bore also match

these are the differences all the same apart from ET 56 vs 51 so as I understand these would mean that the Audi wheels would stick out 5mm more ? 

Nope, they would stick in 5mm more so a 5mm spacer would restore the original offset:

As you have an Octavia MK3 that is based on the VW Golf MK7 platform, I suggest you look at Audi A3 rims that were also based on the VW Golf MK7 platform. There's plenty of 7.5Jx18 ET51 rims on that Audi.

Thanks all for advice so looks lovely a 5mm spacer or get VW style 

 

my other car is an a3 and all ways liked Audi wheels 

 

the wheels I have wt the moment are 

 

 

they are ok but not my cup of tea
