Tyre pressures Skoda Fabia mk3
Thank you! I have one of those info plates in my fuel cap and although I can't readily convert bar to psi I looked it up once and I'm pretty sure it said 32 for single driver and 34-36 for a load, but I will check again. I was just baffled that Kwikfit had left them so high and thought maybe it was for a reason, but it seems not. I lowered them to 34 this morning at 7.30 in the shade and reset the monitoring system. I didn't want to go too low in case they were still higher because of the heat, but will check again tomorrow and if necessary lower again to 32 until I next have a load on. I haven't driven the car since. Not keen on the monitoring system anyway because it often warns "loss of pressure detected" in hot weather, but when I check they are fine. Annoying to have to stop, and sometimes come off a motorway to check. Good tip about the wheel nut torque. They didn't give me any of that information. I will get one of those pressure gauges too. At the moment I'm just relying on my own electric pump.

I haven't, but I will now. Already drove a couple of hundred miles assuming they were right 😬

Tyre pressures Skoda Fabia mk3
I usually have my tyres at 32psi, or if loaded with two or three passengers and luggage i pump them up to 36. I recently had both front tyres replaced at Kwik fit. Checking them a couple of weeks later they have been inflated to 45 psi? this seems way too high - am I right?

Cabin filter
Thanks nta16. I have a 2007 diesel Fabia too (stil going after 170,000 miles), but the filter I want is for the 2017 Fabia. Great recommendations 😃

Thanks Alasdair. It's hard to match up with something online, but I will check for a part number.

Cabin filter
Hi, I want to replace the cabin filter in my 2017 Skoda Fabia. I'm struggling to find which one I should buy online. Some of the sites ask you to put in your car reg, but then come up with a number of different filters and I'm not sure which one I need. I am far from an expert 🙂, just want to make sure I buy one that fits and works.

Engine size on newer cars
Hi again, I still haven't got my new used Skoda, but looking seriously now. I have seen a few that Fabia estates that are 1.0 TSI or 1.2 TSI, but 90PS. Would this be sluggish compared with my old 1.6 litre Fabia? I drive a 200 mile round trip about once a month, and also occasionally drive 300 miles from Sheffield to central Scotland with four adults and a boot full of luggage.

Engine size on newer cars
I have been driving a 2007 1.9L Skoda Fabia diesel estate for about 12 years. I'm looking to buy a 'new' secondhand car and have seen some petrol 2015 and 2017 Skoda Fabias with 1.2L engines. I don't know much about engines, but I read something about newer cars having differently designed engines so that the smaller engine will not mean less power. Is this right, and would 2015 and/or 2017 have the newer type engines? Grateful for any information 🙂
