  1. Thanks FyllCee! I actually had a tough time opening up the various Trims and thus finally got it outsourced to a local auto electrician who does dashcams for a living. The car was a week old and was worried to scratch it out. I am really surprised (happy) reg. the factory fitting of trims in Kamiq compared to say Toyota etc. We installed 2 x Blackvue 900x Plus 2CH to work as a 4 channel arrangement with two main cameras facing front and rear windows whilst the smaller rear cameras facing the boot side (fixed) windows
  2. Hi Folks, I have a Kamiq 2022 model and am struggling to undo Driver-side small glove box I have pushed the small glove box beyond the clip on top left and it now rests on its 2 hinges at the bottom. I am just not able to wiggle or pull it out. When I give it a hard pull, i can see rest of the plastic panel moving and thus I stopped Driver-side door dashboard panel I have a blackvue plastic tool but the panel seems very very tight. I tried to pull the panel with bare hands but It surely does not budge How have you guys gone ahead with these two problems? I am thinking of outsourcing it to a garage but thought to check with the experienced folks once I am planning on adding 2 dashcams (4 camera system) with the tiny small rear camera on each to be attached on the back-side windows
  3. Ordered in March and got delivery in May - Australia It was Semiconductor "öptimised" where rear traffic alert and blind side assist were removed.
  4. Did you remove this panel [Photo] to pass the wire through? I tried to pry it open with the Blackvue plastic tool but it just does not come out. Also, the tiny glove compartment [right hand drive] under the steering wheel, It opens up but can we take it out for easy access to the fuse box? Also,

  6. Thanks, everyone for the inputs. So, the emission [orange] light remains when the engine is in switch off mode. Definitely not lit up when I am driving. I mentioned this to my car dealer and he sent me a vid of an existing car in his showroom. All cars seem to have this orange lit up till you begin to drive. Not sure if it is an issue or this is just a pre check way of things 🙂 Attached the video from my dealer. Wrt. the Information/Breakdown/SOS call panel it is not part of Australia car. IMG_5034.mov
  7. Thanks Seasider. Yeah, I tend to look at these at the start. Let me give it a ride again to see if these are persistent or initial check-ups [hopefully it as you have mentioned]
  8. Hi All, Greetings. I received my Skoda Kamiq Signature [semiconductor "optimised" i.e. blind assist + rear traffic alert removed] - australia. I happen to have a couple of queries. Yes, I have checked for them on the forum but didn't find any to help with and hence thought to raise them here with those on the better side of experience than me Q1] Does this mean "Emission control system faulty" sign? Image attached. This sign lights up when I start the car. It is a brand car and am not sure how it can have an "Emission control system faulty" at the very start? I hope this does not also mean - Engine is on or something. Could anyone please clarify. Refer https://gimmemanuals.com/owners/2021/07/2021-skoda-kamiq-owners-manual.pdf Pg 151 Q2] Information/Breakdown/SOS call panel I noticed that there is no Information/Breakdown/SOS call panel as shown in the user manual. It also mentions of The ŠKODA Connect services. Is this available for Australia? https://gimmemanuals.com/owners/2021/07/2021-skoda-kamiq-owners-manual.pdf Refer Pg 124. As per https://availability.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com#/, Australia does not seem part of it, but yeah thought to check with other Skoda Kamiqers from Australia to be sure
  9. Hi All, My name is Max and I have booked my first car - Skoda Kamiq. I am based out in Melbourne, Victoria and is interested in hill walking and photography. I have been used to living in countries with higher density of rails and taxis before moving to Australia. Thus, learnt to drive car, got my licence and bought my first car here I will be all ears for the experiences of others with Skoda and learn as much as I can and hopefully share a few of mine along the way. I am planning to add a 2 channel dashcam (inspired by Vortex Radar posts) on my car once I get hold of it [hopefully next month]
