  1. Can anyone shed any light on how long a new build should be at ‘port of exit?’ I had an email saying this on 1st November and 6 weeks later we’re still on the same status. thanks
  2. Ordered November 2021 Octavia VRS IV. Finally had chassis number and told it’s at port of exit where it’s been for 4 weeks now. 😂. Question is will it arrive before Xmas. Does anyone know if the delivery tracking still works? If so can someone point me to the link. Thanks
  3. Finally some promising news. Ordered Octavia IV VRS in Nov 21. Got a build week finally of week 46. With a bit of luck it might be here for Xmas.
  4. Has anyone had any joy in making complaints to anywhere in the Skoda company? I ordered my VRS IV in November 21. No build dates have ever been given and still no further news. Since ordering the price of pcp and pch on new have rocketed across not only the vag group but in general. Just wondered if anyone had managed to get any traction making complaints to departments and if so what ones. I’m in a catch 22 situation where I don’t want to keep maintaining the old vehicle but then if I put a new order in for another vehicle I’ll be paying 200-300 quid more a month for a comparable vehicle. They have got you by the short and curleys and suppose they know it.
  5. Had a reply from my dealer today saying they had been speaking to Skoda and no more IV Octavia models will be produced this year. Currently 3200 outstanding orders. Terrific.
  6. Cheers..I found it after I put the question up. Will see what happens. 👍
  7. I know I wasn’t obliged to, but I ordered the vehicle as they said it would be here in time to allow me to give the old one back. Then three months before delivery is due, they say actually it’s delayed to some point in 2023. Doesn’t really leave the customer with many options as most if not all new cars are on 6 month wait at least. I’m in discussions and will keep you posted.
  8. I personally don’t think the customer should be paying for maintenance on a car which the should not be keeping. The only reason I’m having to extend this contract is due to Skoda delays. They have got you both ways.
  9. Will ask what is the minimum required to keep the contract honoured and let you know
  10. It had an extended scope on year 2. It has a VAQ and no mention of it ever being serviced or me being asked for it to be done from Skoda. It’s the DSG oil change and spark plug replacement that is the sting for what could be 5 months of driving. If I don’t need to have them done to honour the contract requirement then happy days!
  11. Yeah it’s had full yearly service. Done 10k a year pretty much. I don’t know how the PCH works and whether the recommendations are a requirement under PCH contract or not.
  12. I’d happily keep the current vehicle but I’m not paying £500 for a service, new spark plugs and DSG oil change for the privilege 🤣
  13. At least you had a build week! I just keep getting no build week assigned yet. Fingers crossed it comes in sooner rather than later.
  14. Hopefully it arrives before October and you aren’t stung with extortionate service costs to keep it until the new one arrives!
  15. Octavia VRS IV ordered November 21 with anticipated delivery date of July 22, nicely in time to swap over my current VRS 245 PCH. Contacted dealer last month to be informed it might be 2023 now. Said I could keep my current VRS until the new one arrives, though have to service and MOT it…4 year service requires DSG oil change, spark plugs and brake fluid change. 😩
  16. Hi I currently drive a VRS 245 on PCH and ordered a VRS IV last November. Dealer has now informed me that delivery has slipped from July 2022 to sometime in 2023 maybe! Just wondered if anyone was in the same boat and what experiences were or if anyone has had any other advice. Thanks
