  1. Thanks, that looks really good I must say. I do have uprated bulbs already, so might take the plunge and do mine. Did you also do the clear bits on your rear lights?
  2. Delighted mate, yeah. Still got the red leather door card trims to do too. And Steve, yes you can stick the last pic on too!
  3. Have you used subtle tint or gunsmoke?
  4. I've emailed the pics to Wardy who has very kindly offered to host them. They should be appearing here soon. The red inserts on the front seat look a bit loose on the pics, but they were taken before I got the heat gun on them... much tighter looking now.
  5. I'm not sure mate, mine is the other 1.4 engine, the VW 16v unit. I would say that the two could certainly be related though, and a clean of the throttle would be the place to start (from my VERY limited knowledge).
  6. I don't know the answer to the question, but pretty sure it wouldn't be the MAF, as the 1.4 doesn't have one. :P Throttle body is a good possibility, or a MAP sensor. I would say it is very refreshing to meet such an honest seller.
  7. I tried uploading the last lot into the thread, but I wasn't allowed. Apparently, I've reached my upload limit.
  8. You could paint the cross struts in black and leave the ends silver. That'd go quite nicely with the car. You would look like a bad mong driving it around, like, but hey... Barryboys is always looking for fresh meat!
  9. I have finally finished these tonight. I PROMISE there will be photos up tomorrow. I am delighted with the results. Quite often during the fitting process, I wished I'd never started as it was such a difficult job, but now that I have finished, I guess it's all worth it! My hands are absolutely FUBAR though, really difficult work.
  10. Nearly finished the passenger seat. To say it has been hard work would be the understatement of the century. It is blatantly a two man job that I'm trying to do on my own. Trying to get the stretch on on both sides of the seat back to join them together at the bottom has got me worn out! I have decided to eat some pasta and have a drink and go out there again in half an hour to have a final push.
  11. They are REALLY tight! The fronts are proving very difficult, but I intend to have them done by the weekend. Will post pics as soon as they're done.

  13. I have fitted my rear seat covers this evening... Bloody hard work! I have struggled for hours with those bleeding hog rings and I am absolutely exhausted by it. However, I am delighted with the result. I will take some photos tomorrow. Hope to press on and fit the front ones this week. Door cards can wait...
  14. The leather arrived today. Looks like a good quality trim. I will take some photos in the morning when it's light, and then try and fit them over the next week or two. As for the colour, it is red, but not bright red. Think not Liverpool shirt red, but the colour of that kind of wine-coloured shirt that Arsenal had a couple of years back.
  15. Well I've got 5 more weeks off work, so should be able to work it out in that time!
  16. I will be happy to post pics when I get them.
  17. Well, I have just taken a punt and bought what looks to be a good-looking leather retrim for £55 on eBay. Skoda Fabia 03 Model Complete Leather Kit NEW on eBay (end time 26-Jul-09 21:00:00 BST) Obviously, I will need to t\ke the seats out myself and spend some time trying to remove the old covers and fit the new, but this is a bargain I couldn't refuse. I would have mentioned it on here earlier, but didn't want too many bidding rivals! The seller has just put another set up, this time in black and grey. I will report back on the quality of my covers and let you know whether or not they are worth bidding on. Anyone who has any experience of changing the covers on Fabia seats, your advice /tips would be greatly appreciated.
  18. How did you do the pinstriping? I thought a while ago about having one in red on my grill. Did you disassemble the grill and apply tape?
  19. I've recently fitted Bosch Supers. I would go for them or NGK Iridium X, but the standard NGKs which are fitted from the factory will be fine.
  20. I have just listed on eBay a standard Fabia handbrake lever. The auction is due to finish on Sunday, but if anybody on here needs it and is willing to come and collect it from Birkenhead, I am happy to stop the auction and give it away FOR FREE to save me the hassle of posting it. If you want a look at the lever, it is in the listing here: SKODA FABIA / OCTAVIA HAND BRAKE HANDBRAKE LEVER on eBay, also, Skoda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 26-Apr-09 19:18:34 BST) It has a black button and an onyx plastic sleeve and is in good condition (NB: this is NOT the leather covered version off a vRS). The lever itself is the type with the bend in it, as opposed to the straight version found on some cars.
  21. Yup. Prices are basically the same as the online suppliers, but there is no extra charge for fitting and balancing.
  22. Without wanting to sound daft, are you suire there isn't a fault with the airbag?
