  1. If i could find a housing like yours, I'd happily design a solution for you ... but I don't know where to find one. what model do you have?
  2. Oooh. I see. It looks as though We do not have the same system. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  3. If you Google "synthetic fiber filter" you can find the likes of stuff I'm using on rolls or in flat sheets. Just got to shape with scissors. I'm sure there are better versions - the stuff I had is 8mm thick and backed with a super-fine nylon mesh. It won't stop pollen, but thunder-bugs (thrills or whatever you know them as) won't get through. 👍
  4. The grid fits into the "bottom" of part 15. I'll take pics when it's not raining like hell!!
  5. That looks like it could be done Nigel: A little trim and a new card edge, and I think one would fit. I'm fairly confident it'd be rigid enough to be possible without the grid too. I'm mostly arsing about with materials I have lying around. but I'll investigate modifying ready-made cabin filters if I don't manage what I want. For all I know, I just made the ultimate mouse-bed
  6. 370x137 is the dimension of the component. Measure yours and see if that's right (and it is 18mm thick)
  7. It looks like our housings could have the same sizes. 370x180mm roughly... does that sound right? I'll check my dimensions tomorrow.
  8. I got annoyed with the lack of available filters for my newly acquired pickup. The previous owner hadn't found one either - the thing is full of dust. So... I've designed a grid that should fit on most 3D printers, and if anyone wants, I'll put the file on Thingiverse. Just print two and they fit together. (Same username as here) It fits in the "correct" place, and is to support any filter-material, and has little spikes to stop it from shifting. I'm going to experiment with making a pleated filter from a large synthetic vacuum-cleaner bag, but for now it has a cleanable fleece-style filter from a cooling fan in it to stop the tiny flies. I might make a second part to "clamp" the filter down. I'll test it first. The current design would need supports... I'll fix that.
  9. ... seems I didn't finish a sentence. And can't edit. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  10. Hi there. I've just signed up, and I'm here to show I can follow the rules Who am I? I'm a middle-aged bloke, father of two, A Mechanical Engineer for a huge Swedish company, classic over-thinker, and armed/hindered by severe ADHD. I'm not a Swede by birth, but I am by citizenship - The rest of my life is a stereotype: We drive Volvos, my Missus used to design for Ikea, and we drunkenly dance like frogs around a giant phallic symbol for midsummer... (this coming Friday) None of that is useful info... But maybe this is? My Garage, Carport and workshop areas What brought me here? I recently got my filthy hands on a 2000 VW Caddy (II), which seems to essentially be a Felicia Pickup with uglier badges on it. Every time I had a question over the last week or two, it has been instantly answered by a google result with BriSkoda's forums coming up with the the goods. Hats off to the creators for keeping most of the content available for Non-Members. What am I going to be asking about and doing? The Pickup I have is a "spare" vehicle, that I can enjoy working on when I have time. It'll eventually become a "hunting vehicle". (Slightly increased ground clearance, chunkier rubber, room behind the seats for a couple of rifles, and maybe a winch system for getting wild boar into the back.. or something....) But for starters it's getting the interior and some features from a 1.6 GLX I found in a mate's scrap yard. It'll also get some seats from an old 3-door Astra, (because they flip forwards) and a full going-over to eliminate rust and rattles... and THEN I'll head down the road of over-engineering fun stuff. Med Vänlig Hälsningar! /Nick
