I need some good advice. It was recommended to replace the front shock absorbers and ball joints. I thought I would look into what is a good practice to replace them. I was told that I should also consider replacing the coil springs and dust covers with new ones. Is there anything else? I have attached a picture of what the area requires and what I am currently considering replacing (in the red box). Is it also a good idea to replace the parts in the yellow box?

Routine engine oil change. Replaced with Mobil Super 3000 Formula V 5W30 - Oil filter change, brake fluid change. It was noticed that the coolant water pump is leaking and it is recommended to replace it along with the timing belt. The vehicle currently has 150,000 km. Recommendations for the coolant water pump and timing belt or can they be purchased as a set ?

Update: Interestingly, new Energizer CR2032 batteries were purchased instead. Under the key cover it says CR2032. I get an error message with them. I thought I would try CR2025 batteries instead and bought Panasonic ones. Miraculously, the error message no longer appears, at least for the last day and a half there has been no error in the OBD. Surprising.

I changed the batteries in all the remotes. Instead of 2032 because that's what it says on the inside of the key cover. The keys work fine. However, when scanning with OBD I get an error message: Remote key 1 voltage too low - B147918 - The fault is not in the battery, because even if I put another one in its place, the same error. Hello! I have this same problem. Error message P20EE00 – SCR NOx Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1 Catalyst 1 comes up at absolutely random times. The engine light comes on. The car drives fine, so the error does not inhibit driving. I clear the error and then there is silence for the next few weeks/months until the engine light comes on again at random times. If I'm not wrong then the code for NOx sensor is: 04L907807ED - OEM costs 600 € (lol) I thought I would take this error removal on the agenda and first it seems reasonable to go to a workshop where the machine would be lifted up and checked if the adblue injector nozzle is clean. If it's clean then I would buy new NOx sensor (not the OEM) Should the error be active (engine light ON) when go to the workshop ?

02.04.2025 - I received new summer tires Falken Ziex ZE310 Ecorun, 235/45R18 98 W XL FSL - Total 419 € 17.04.2025 - New tires went on the rims today. Mileage currently: 138 970 km 20.04.2025 - The cabin air filter was replaced. Replaced as usual 5Q0819669 - MANN-FILTER FP 26 009 25.06.2025 - Regular car inspection. Next time is in 2027 21.08.2025 - Replacing the spare key battery. Both were dead. Replaced with CR2032

It's been a while since I last posted and I thought I'd write down what I've done in the meantime: 06.03.2025: Regular engine oil change + technical inspection Mileage: 137,595 km Engine oil VW504 00/507 00 Mobil Super 3000 Formula V 5W30 - I bought it through Aeromotors.ee / 5L can for €39 OIL CAP WITH WASHER / SWAG OIL CAP>valve cover / OE OIL FILTER / MAHLE QUICK CLEANER Coolant resistance -49 degrees. Tire tread 8-10mm. Vehicle body visually in good condition. Timing belt visually dry and tight. Exterior lighting in good condition. We lubricated the rear bushings of the front swingarms, which were making noise The brake system is in working order, there are rustling sounds on the discs. The digital maintenance book is complete. The last oil change was a year ago, i.e. 07.03.24 and LS: 125,319 km So 12,276 km in a year.

Update: I contacted an electronics specialist who repaired the broken cable. Then I reconnected it and it works again. Total cost 35€ - could have been cheaper, but I wanted to get it fixed today. Really happy now

Took the strut off and the blue wire is broken...I hop this is the issue. Going to solder it. Will post the result.

So my 2018 Superb L&K tailgate will not open or close anymore. It beeps 3 times. When the lid is closed and I try to open it with the remote control, it rises up to a maximum of 20 cm. OBD11 gives an error message: Hall sensor in motor 1 for rear hatch - B121115 As far as I've briefly looked into the subject at the moment, it's possible that one of the wires is broken, so it's worth checking before buying new ones. If you were to buy new ones, which manufacturer's product did you choose? I'd leave out OE, I don't see any reason to pay so much. The new ones should be quiet and smooth! :) Atm I'm looking at Stabilus 427627 - It is more expensive than other manufacturers, but it should be premium.
