growling vibrating noise from my superb
Hi...I am getting a noise from my superb dsg 2.0td estate and was just wodering if anyone else has experienced it. it seems to be getting louder and is very annoyiong now. The noise appears when accelerating from low revs and sounds like a cross between a growl and a vibrating Have just had a new flywheel replaced and dsg box serviced and asked them to have a look to see if there was anything and they said no. Please help as its driving me crazy. the car has 153000 miles on it and apart from this noise it drives great.

How do you know that your fly wheel needs replacing? .......and how much would it cost roughly?
Have been quoted £1500 .....the only noise I can hear is like a growling vibration noise when accelerating which over the last 12 months has got worse. Gear shift is still sweet and it drives grea. t

Just come off the phone to TP Services .......spoke to a really helpful man who is sending me all the info and history on the car. He checked if cam belt had been done and it has at 95,000 miles 😅 so that saves me a few bob. He said the car was owned by a upholstery firm and the car only traveled up and down the motorway which would explain the high mileage.

The only thing that tells me anything is a load of stickers by the drivers door. I will take a pic and show you.- ECO MODE
One last question before I get out of your hair.....does mine have a cam belt or chain and when do they need changing.- ECO MODE
Out of curiosity toot......Does a skoda iv have a dpf filter? Plus: When you have used all your electric up, what sort of mpg does the 1.4tsi get? and how many electric miles do you reckon you would get around town?- ECO MODE

I will probarbly change the gearbox oil once a year and 3/4 for engine ....If I stay on Private Hire! I came over from been a black cab driver because the new LEVC hybrid cabs are too much money and are not really productive enough. PCP £230 a week HP £300 a week over 60 months- ECO MODE
Thanks toot.....like I said I have just had gearbox oil and filter changed and also engine oil and filter changed by a reputable garage who specialise more in gearboxes. ROBBS GARAGE in Wallasey on the Wirral. The total cost was £373.80- ECO MODE
I can't remember where I read it but they said it wasn't good for the gearbox...mine is a 6 speed DSG. I like it in eco its more laid back and it suits my daily driving been a taxi driver and if I ever need to put my foot down I just pull the lever back into S and off I go- Oil change intervals
So what are the warning signs that the DPF gives when its on its way out?- Oil change intervals
I guess I have been used to very low maintenance costs in the past having driven a TX1 (W REG) for the past 15 years. I have owned the skoda for 6 months now.- Oil change intervals
If I stop I switch the car off if I am waiting usually.- Oil change intervals
How much is it to have the DPF done?- Oil change intervals
P.S. I don't use stop start as it really ****es me off.- Oil change intervals
Thanks for the heads up guys.....when I work I am pretty constant moving about and don't really sit idling for long unless its really cold ( I go home if it's quiet). I'm a pretty steady driver as I want my car to last and I want to try and keep all oils and fluids up to to date the best I can as it's in my own interest to look after my car. On the subject of driving! I put it in eco mode and leave it that all day, but I was reading somewhere on this site that driving in eco is bad !!!! Is this true? I am really enjoying driving my skoda..... it still surprises me on how good it is to drive and am glad I didn;t get a over priced a6 avant. - ECO MODE
