  1. Can’t help with your question but wondering what you ordered and how long it took?
  2. I hope the dealership is right but with the recent withdrawal of the IV versions and the extremely long lead times it isn’t looking promising.
  3. I wouldn’t go with what the dealership says. I was originally told 26 weeks yet I’m now being told 18 months. Ordered January 2022 and being told June 2023 at the earliest for delivery. If I were you I would set my expectations for 2024 and if you get it earlier then that’s a bonus.
  4. I’m guessing it’s not the plug in hybrid you have ordered?
  5. If been given a delivery date of June 2023 onwards for my Skoda Octavia IV SE Technology. Ordered it January 2022. It’ll be interesting to see when they start manufacturing the facelift models as they can’t even get the current line up out at a reasonable rate.
  6. I know you are not after a plug in hybrid, but thought it would be good for you to know, I ordered Jan 22 a Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSI IV SE Technology plug in hybrid. No optional extras, solid blue paint. Been told to expect it on or after June 2023. 18 month + wait.
  7. Thanks Jim. That’s a good shout. I’m currently with Octopus so will look at that Tariff.
  8. I ordered an Octavia 1.4 IV SE technology solid blue. No optional extras. Ordered January 2022. Dealer updated to let me know I should receive the car June 2023 at the earliest. Ridiculous wait times. No build date yet either.
  9. Good shout for the winter months. But looks like I will be getting it for the summer at this rate ☹️
  10. 6 hours is a pain but I get home from work around 5pm and it will be plugged in straight away. So should be charged at around 11pm. I don’t leave until 8am so suits me well. I can’t justify paying for an electric charger when a 3 pin plug suits me. 11 months is ridiculous. I’ve been told I will receive the car June 2023. Ordered Jan 2022. Nearly 18 months is unacceptable.
  11. I have a question regarding battery life and charging. I ordered my Octavia IV in January (still waiting). I plan on charging with the granny cable. I only go out once a day to work. Yes it takes 6 hours give or take but that doesn’t bother me. Will this cause any issues with the battery? Are there any negatives to using the granny cable other than the time it takes?
  12. I believe there is an aftermarket product that you can get that is not powered but merely just a really strong piston. When you hit boot release button it opens the boot. The only issue is it is difficult to close as the piston is pushing against you. I think it may only be an option for hatchbacks too.
  13. It seems the people who have ordered the PHEV variants are waiting the longest. I can’t really understand why they are taking so long. Now I understand the factors affecting Skoda (War in Ukraine, Covid etc) but most other car manufacturers seem to be able to fulfil orders far quicker than Skoda. If it wasn’t for a limited list of cars I could order through my works company car scheme, I would have changed far sooner.
  14. what spec did you order?
  15. not my message to Skoda but this should answer your question.
