  1. I got the update. My previous version was 1945 (manually installed). I had to do the factory reset and all seems OK except one thing. There are some areas where the car loses connections to the phone. This wasn't happening before. And these are the same areas where my friend's VW loses connection to his phone.
  2. H47, needed factory reset. I had to reenter s-pin, add primary user, and connect mobile devices again. Favourite radio stations didn't need reentering.
  3. This happens to me too but not always. Sometimes the front doors unlock on the first click and sometimes on the second. I haven't figured out why this happens.
  4. It happens a lot to me, too. It is unrelated to the battery, since it has been working like this from the start, and I have also replaced the battery recently. I think having phone and keys in the same pocket interferes with the functionality but it happens sometimes also when I don't have the phone in my pocket. Another "feature" that I don't understand is that sometimes when I press unlock on the fob, only trunk and back doors get unlocked. Both driver and passenger door remain locked until I press unlock again.
  5. @SaXo69 TL/DR: Yes. You can find the answer 7 posts above yours.
  6. I am back from vacation, so now I have time to do the update. So @Jorgeminator or anyone else who has the 1941, when you have the time, please send me the link. Cheers.
  7. I washed the key of my old Renault Megane once. The key still worked but from then on each new battery drained in less than a month. So this is not recommended.
  8. The user switch happened to me too with this update. The keyless entry didn't always work for me even before this update. I haven't been paying attention whether this happens if I don't use a car for a while. But sometimes I think the mobile phone that I keep in the same pocket as the car key also prevents keyless entry. I don't know about the last issue because I never payed attention.
  9. I have 1896 SW version.
  10. Thule 7106 are the carrier feet you need to attach the bars. I have the 7112 wingbars (118cm). I can fit four bikes on it. You will also need 186096 kit.
  11. I am writing this in case someone has similar problems to mine. I have my native language (Slovenian) set up as the main language. About 10 days ago I started getting a notification about OAA2 update. If I clicked OK, it popped up again, and on the second OK click it disappeared without doing anything. The same happened if I clicked Cancel. This happened every time I started the car. I have tried to access the update via Settings / System Information. I could find the update there. If I clicked on it, the information about it was displayed, but if I clicked Download, nothing happened. Then a few days ago I changed the language to English, and then I was able to click the Download button. The update was (slowly) downloaded and installed. I then switched back to my native language and I also had to select the user again.
  12. It says 140 Nm in the manual: Wheels > Changing the wheel and raising the vehicle > What you should be mindful of https://digital-manual.skoda-auto.com/w/en_GB/show/708c3bafe83886dcac6ba38ab4af34a0_11_en_GB For Octavia III it is 120 Nm.
  13. Anyone ever try this: Autoease Power Liftgate Retrofit?
  14. Thanks, but I saw this before and it is way too expensive.
  15. I received my Octavia two months ago and so far I am very happy with it. When I was ordering it and selecting additional equipment there was a rather expensive option for a virtual pedal so I decided against it. What I didn't realize is that without it there is also no electric boot functionality. There was no mention of that on the configurator page in my country. I checked the internet and it seems the original power liftgate functionality can be retrofitted, but it costs three times as much as if I ordered it in the beginning. I have to check with my local service but this is definitely too expensive. I saw there are also several third party options which are cheaper. Does anyone have any experience with this and can recommend which solution works best.
