Hello everyone So I was a little silly and decided to cover the orange warning ⚠️ with a peace of paper and did not realise it was sprayed with my wife's perfume... So when I actually decided to take it off it left this smudge on the plastic. It feels a little different when touched. Is this now permanent or I am able to fix it somehow please ?

Ye that's the thing with mine not showing at all, I have a friend coming over today or tomorrow to check on vcds if anything will show. I found that video someone else's posted Im not sure if it's worth trying or not.

Hello I started having this warning it comes up every so often. I've seen online there might be a fix, you can buy a spare part 40£ and you connect it under a gear knob. I opened it up and I have a black cover, which is a good sign as it don't apply to the white cover. Did anyone else have it and also did u manage to fix it or you had to give it to the garage for a fix? Thanks. Also on a side note I did the obd scan and I got this warning ⚠️ at first it came up with this first obd pic, and then this sec pic. Does that mean I have a fulty sensors? It confused me as it didn't show it at first and then it came up with more ❌. When I tried to see what codes are they it did not give me any regarding the dsg or any sensors. So I am a little confused. Any help or discussion would be very helpful I'm trying to do as much as I can by myself. Thank you all

Ah yeah I see so that is just what they provide with these breaks it seems. Will have to get a different brand next time.

Yeah the clips were together with the break pads, so have they made a mistake ? How can I know for future orders the clips will be the right size.

Hello all Yesterday i was changing my break pads and the clips that you slide onto the caliper did not fit. They are much shorter than the older ones. I've ordered the breaks from auto doc using my reg number and by the code that skoda dealer is using. Did I made a mistake ? or they put the wrong clips in the bag? If i made a mistake what shall i look out for so it can fit nicely? please help 2 first pictures are the clips that were not the same. please advice. Here are the photos of break discs and pads i bought for the rear axle.

I rang skoda and he gave me the exact codes for the front 1LG and rear 1KW but did not give the dimensions as he didn't know them as that's the only info he can see.

When I bought the car I gave it back 5 times and the car was going to vgs at swindon to look at it. They said its not the chain as they have checked it out and its clear on the codes. So I don't know if they lied to me to not fix it or what. But its gone 1 year and I've been driving around with it. I now was trying to listen more carefully, and after it warms up, when I drive and accelerate you can hear for few seconds like the turbo sucking air with a little rattle same one when it warmes up. It don't do it later on when I drive for a long time. I hope its easy to understand I will try and go and record the video while driving today and post it so everyone cab hear it.

I try but doubt it it's that. This rattle happens on a cold engine. Then once it's warned up you can hear like something mechanical or sudden lock in position click sound when it stops. Then once I'm driving and accelerate it happens for few seconds. Then once it's fully warmed up not doing it at all. Really strange. Today finally I spoke to a friend who knows about the cars and gonna have some fun with it to get to bottom of it. I will keep everyone updated once we locate the issue

Hey I am still annoyed with the rattle at the start up. I'm trying to figure It out would I be able to get to the rod myself without taking any major parts out? Am I right to think that it will be enough to take the under covet off and that's it.? If not not could you point me in the right direction so I can see the turbo for myself? I am trying to see if I can do It myself before I go somewhere with it as apparently its only cosmetic fix as everything is fine. Thanks

Thanks I've had the actuator and turbo replaced, still making the same sound but been told nothing to worry as everything else works just fine and that these cars are the noisy ones. They specialise only in VW's and dealer had to spend big £ to replace it all.

Thanks for that since I got the car I always sent him back to the mechanic due to this sound at start up only. But they explained me everything showed me this turbo and told this can make a rattling sound. They also started up few other gti's which made the exact sound. Performance wise and everything else is perfect. Thank you for reply.

Hey guys I have a picture of a turbo and was wondering what is this part inside of it? And what it is responsible for? I highlighted it with blue circle ? I've been told it can make a mettalic rattling sound at first warm up and a lot of these turbos have it in common and nothing to worry about.

I've been looking around google and here but not much luck. Is there a place where i can buy them from, or did someone buy them recently and it fits ? thanks

No not yet, I decided to wait a little bit longer to see if anything gets worse or not. At the moment it does it occasionally so I can live with it.
