  1. In the original post I was using waste vegetable oil (wvo) but I now use waste motor oil (wmo), Tbh it is very fecked and looks like a smoke machine with massive puffs of white smoke. 26/34 mpg is a Very tragic number I'll be looking over the car when I get the time
  2. Just a update to this topic, I've fixed this issue I could not tell you how I did it but the car now runs without limp mode. I ended up cleaning the turbo with Mr muscle that didn't do anything I don't believe, then I made my fuel thinner and changed the fuel filter I'm now on 400 miles on that fuel filter looking "ok". I've also stopped turning the heater on in the car because I noticed the car wasn't getting up to temp and somehow turning the heater allows it to get to operating temp. Now for the bad part and why it's not completely fixed: The car puffs out white smoke this could be because I'm running used motor oil mix but after looking on vcds I found out the QI is extremely high at 21mg/st I can't figure out why this is. My thoughts are clogged injection pump or injectors I'm going to isolate it when I have the chance, I think 21 is a number way too high to "Hammer mod" it. A side effect of this is I have a mpg of 26 when I'm trying to drive sensible around the city and a max of 34mpg on a long run on the motorway. Additional thing I did which could of caused the lean fuel is I have removed the cat so it could be a side effect of that. But in good news my original issue has been solved but the Skoda keeps surprising me
  3. Hi, I have a update I had a spare fuel filter and had nothing to lose so I stuck it in, The car worked perfectly for 30 miles and then has returned to limp mode. Do you guys reckon it is just a bad batch of wvo? or the fuel is too thick. I will try the Mr Muscle method when I get off work because from what I've read it can work wonders. I will also try and organise a VCD scan off someone
  4. Thank you so much, I've seen alot about vcds. Is it a specialised cable?
  5. Hi, I'm new to forums but I just can't figure out the issue with my Skoda Octavia (ASV) running on wvo and engine oil When driving the car goes into some sort of limp mode where it doesn't go over 2k and is down on power and stalls when it's pushed over 2k for a longer period of time, the traction light goes on when ever limp mode activates. I've taken it to my mates garage and had it scanned it came up with several codes but after clearing it, this error came up again after 2 minutes of driving "Start of Injection Timing Regulation Control Deviation P1248" my mate and his colleagues reckon it's just a case of me putting a bad batch of wvo or making it too thick and it has clogged the injection pump. I've ordered a new pump but I have a slight feeling it won't help. Any ideas? Because I've been sitting on it for a week. I have put the images of the scan (I've replaced the MAF)
