  1. to reset the inspection reminder follow the same procedure as service reminder, but with the hazard lights on, it worked for me last time i tried.
  2. That's a sign of an almost dead battery, you might have to get the battery replaced if it turns out to be bad. You should it able to start it with a jump pack on for now though.
  3. You may have a disconnected/broken vacuum line. open the bonnet with the engine running and try to find the source of the hissing. the whining could be one of the pulleys, i would check the tensioners.
  4. So finally took the plunge and got a stage 1 tune (from Morendi Tuning) on a completely stock car (except for a dv+), could feel the difference straightaway. Been driving for 2 weeks now and love the way it responds, feels a little more eager now (not that it wasn't earlier😜). The tech who worked only car was really helpful, and performed prechecks (DSG, clutch, spark plugs, timing chain, etc.) to ensure there are no issues currently. Yet to do a dyno run, will have that booked in during the coming weeks. Overall, glad i got the tune. Thanks for all the help guys.
  5. I mean I've been enjoying it stock for the past 18 months, it's been a daily driver actually, put around 30k km in the time I've had it. I've just been thinking about the stage 1 remap this past week since visiting one of the tuners, saw a MK3 Octavia vRS getting tuned, thought it would be a little bit more fun. PS: I do have another car that scratches the horsepower itch.

  7. I've just changed the drive belt, the water pump is still the original one, and so is the belt on that I use 98 ron diligently. No other mods, stock air filter, factory battery location. I'm running Bosch spark plugs since the past 30k km have a set of NGKs which I'm looking to swap, (it had the original VW plugs in it when I bought it at 56k km, and they were pretty good, no deposits or burns. The DSG has the software update done, verified it with the Skoda dealer here. And yes both the oils were changed for the DSG. So do u say the REVO stage 1 on the CTHE is ok?
  8. Hi, Been an avid reader of the forum. I've had my mk2 Fabia vRS (CTHE) for 1.5 years now, been thinking of getting a Stage 1 tune on it). It's done about 87k km, has no issues with the engine or the DSG so far, no oil consumption as well. Been serviced regularly at 7k-8k km intervals, belt, spark plugs & DSG oil change done at 60k km. i wasn't able to find any tuner in my region (UAE) who has tuned this specific model ever. However, found a few tuners who say they can tune it, do you think i should get it done? below are expected gains / numbers, also has anyone here had a tune from Morendi, they 're Lithuania based apparently.   9. Had a similar noise on mine, turned out to be a torn CV boot. was stumped at first as it was intermittent, heard it only on speeds in excess of 80km/h. check behind the wheel, for signs of grease, mine had it all over the ball joint & sway bar links.

Hello Fellow Skoda owners, I drive a 2014 Fabia RS I seem to have a similar issue, the lock unlock button doesn't seem to do anything at all. however, central locking seems to work with the remote & key. auto lock above 20kmph & auto unlock in P also works. Could it be a faulty switch? Thanks.
  11. Hello Everyone, Pick up a MK II Fabia vRS, this past week. with 58k kms New to Skoda, and where I live, people don't rally know What a Skoda is. Came across this forum, trying to find solutions for odd niggles I've been facing. Error airbag (no light though) A gruff shift from 1 -2 & 2 - 3 on low RPMs when the car is cold, seems ok once it warms up Looking for to being a part of this community. A pic to begin Cheers
