This morning advised by dealer to request lease extension of +3 months from VWFS. Thats on top of the 6 month lease extension the current diesel mk.3 is already on from August 2022. Mk.4 order: SEL Estate iV, ordered January 2022. Anticipated delivered August 2022.. Latest advice from dealer to extend (again) the current lease suggests total lead time could be in the region of: 16/17 months from initial order. Though I get the feeling it remains a case of - who really knows!

Oh so there are dealers who understand keeping the customer updated makes for a better experience. Must be nice!

Yes an iV.. So yes in the mix with the slowest deliveries I know, just want my new car lol!

Been chasing dealer since December for update, previous update from them concerning my SEL Estate iV order from January 2022 was October when the news was - there is no news.. So today I hear that some other (client's of same dealer) iVs are turning up, brilliant I think!!! But so what, I am only concerned with my order to be perfectly honest, well guess what my news is.... Absolutely f-all, still no news, no delivery date, no nothing.

Had an email in inbox from dealer. I thought. YES here we go some news, finally!!!! But no, nothing of any such sort, instead a Happy New Year (bit late) and a thank you for me steering a colleague to them who is interested in the Enyaq iV as next Co Car. Talk about being deflated. Not even a mention of my Octavia iV order from Jan 2022, not even a "still no news, sorry" one liner or a sorry we hadn't replied to your request for an update in December as yet - nothing! Utter bull.. 🤬

Current saddled with a mk.3 estate (diesel / company car).. Largely speaking it has been a p.o.s in reliability context from day one, I'll get round to posting the story in the mk.3 forum at some point! Waiting, now 12 months in for the next co. car, mk.4 iV estate. If it where my own money? I'd likely look at the Octavia estate certainly, though I'd wouldn't touch a low output diesel as just too slow for my liking and in hindsight spending my commute in traffic as is the norm I'd have an auto over a manual. Not that as yet I have experienced an auto Octavia mind, that will come as a default courtesy of the iV. Where the Octavia estate excels in my opinion is its ability to transform from van like work-horse with cavernous load space, that can tow alright also back into a comfy enough place that hauls bums on seats reasonable well that from behind the wheel at least gets you A to B feeling ok. Basic SE-Tech specification seats are nothing special, but again ok.. The 2019 Octavia I remain driving to this day, has been rubbish in the main. But that wouldn't stop me looking at them if it weren't for being a company car driver.

That’s approaching 38psi.. That’s high for an unloaded state. I noticed mine adopts a slight skittish feeling on the rear with the higher psi, that’s suits when heavily loaded and towing, just not when light. 32/33psi feels about right on 16” rims, stock tyres in my opinion. I should add, my opinion based on my current mk.3 diesel estate…. Can’t get my hands on the mk.4 as it’s exists only as an order!!!!!

Dealer didn’t even reply (yet) to my contact during the week.. Asking if Skoda had any commitment to building the car. iV SEL estate, ordered Jan ‘22

Same here.. At a guess its the iV engine models taking the longest? Hence those being withdrawn from the order options in October.

Enjoyed three Yeti over the years until it was no longer produced, a 12 plate, 14 plate and finally a 16 plate.. 2019 the current Octavia came along, waiting now on Hydbrid Octiva sometime next year. Yetis - Great cars (not most reliable as it turned out!) but I did enjoy them and wanted another, was wholly uninspired by the Karoq in 2019 so ended up with an Octavia. Photo of the last Yeti I had, such a handy car and even for 2wd decent suspension travel meant it went places a normal car couldn't!

I also went for Brilliant Silver, I keep looking my configuration sheet from way back.. Dreaming of its delivery!!!

For what its worth then, I hope your order arrives ahead of mine then.. Sorry to read your circumstance.

As my user name hints at and as all others here.. Octavia SEL 1.4TSI iV Estate - ordered January 2022 and basically am clueless as to when it might get built or delivered. Current contract hire already extended 6mths till early February 2023, that I guess we’ll be extending again come that date.

New to the forum, currently driving an Octavia had a number of Yeti prior to that.
