With my estate iV now at 1000mls of driving over three weeks since delivery.. Running AC as a constant, driving in full electric largly on motorway it is returning 32/35 driving miles range before being depleted. Pretty much as I had hoped for tbh, if it marginally increases on that in warmer times then great, if it does not I wont loose any sleep! Am maninly charging during the day from the 3-pin charging cable as the wall mount 7kW charger we have typically has a Polestar or a Tesla plugged into it!! No idea how long it takes to charge from flat but its fully chargered by the time I leave for home each day. The commute home is full electric and then I have something like 2 to 5 miles of electric range remainig the next moring, but always in full hybrid mode with depleted battery by the time I plug back in at work the next morining. In sport it regenerates quite well I have found, in under 30 miles I can eaasily see the depleted battery rise to around 8% charge status, though of course you use a little more petrol driving that way.

Not of any immediate granted.. Had my iV three weeks and only charge at work, the single wall charger typically has someything fully EV plug in so I also use the 3-pin charger plugged into domestic wall socket. Other than setting a user profile for myself for radio /screen layout etc, I have not messed about with the charging settings they are as come from the dealer, no idea how long its takes but some when from 08:30 to early afternoon its fully charge at 98% odd.

As interested myself in the topic.. Googling shows loads of chat on the same topic on the mk.3 Octavia forum of Briskoda. Outside of any programming option the may or may not be possible? One thought being, as almost all do perhaps. With having headlights on the auto function, effectively on; is then the wash frequency greater than if you manually used headlights in off/sidelight only/main beam?

Must say at circa 400mls in, I am very impressed with mine. Ride is superb, comfortable, first experience of DSG auto - smooth, SEL trim well appointed. And (thus far!) no funny upsets with the tech!!!!

Having just taken delivery of my 2023 Estate I need to purchase a roof rack (paddle board transport..), I've zero interest in any sort of roof rack that requires a manual allen-key type bolt being done up to sercure it in place, its time and effort to fit / remove from teh car. Who has and can recomend a decent mechanism type roof rack thats sercureed in place with a simple intergrated latch type fitting that requires no loose tool? Thanks (Photo - old mk. 3, with a cheap allen-key wind-up fitment roof rack - Not what I want this time!!)

Well yestrerday it arrived in the UK ports (where do they arrive at?). So looking good for mid October and tbh i am looking forward to it, its been but just a few short months not in an estate car, the space and bbot size have been sorely missed! Please be a good one!!!!!

My Jan 2022 order, Octavia Estate iV SEL.... ITS BUILT!!!!!! And awaiting shippin to the UK, all now looking very positive for an October delivery. 😀 Just a mere 21 months from order to delivery.

Well news in recent last days, now confirmed build week beginning 4th September. So as was at week 36 but now 'cast in stone' or in Skoda dealer speak gone from status code 10 to status code 20!! So looks like a potenial keys-in-my-hands deliver late September / early October on a 73-plate. Tbh I am looking forward to it as the current "hand me down intereim car, Mecerdes A250e" really doesn't suit family life and the ride isn't great either really. Hopefully its going to be a good experience being back in a Skoda, the last diesel Octavia was a total lemon but thats a story for another day! My SEL iV estate should like like this, image from orginal order configuration.. The only option being the change of rims.

Another SEL Estate iV ordered here.. Ordered January 2022 and since early June of this year I also have had a build week 36, delivery anticapted for late Sept/early Oct. Honestly I am only semi-convinced at the moment that I'll see the car then!!!!

My order for an iV SEL Estate - as ordered 01/2022, directly through Skoda dealer. Build date 'confirmed' back in April as week 37 and again earlier this week remains 'confirmed' as week 37, thats week beginning September 11th.. We will see!! Prior to April's notice it had sat on week 50 for a while.

On quizzing my dealer wanting to know just how long other orders they have are actually taking.. No surprises to hear all iV taking an age, but specifically they said norm. iV coming through the system but nothing for VRS iV. edit to add: They also said orders like mine (zero extras) are well ahead of orders loaded with options.

My Jan 2022 ordered Estate SEL iV in metalic silver, bar different to standard 17" rims - no extras. From months of ZERO news and much window shopping for alternatives, I have a confirmed build date that has in the last few weeks already changed. Was week 50. Currently week 37.

Today - made seriuos enquires about both the Citroen C5X and the Peugeot 408 plug-in hybrid versions of both. Looked over the C5X in a local showroom yesterday, certainly a worthwhile option in place of a never to be delivered Octavia Estate SEL iV.

You think you'll ever get the car? I am beginning to reach a conclusion that Skoda won’t deliver this year my UK Jan'22 ordered SEl Estate iV... Or at least they won't honour the lease contracted £'s figure as the order is likely to push out into 2024 / slash make it undeliverable even then, by my reckoning.

With still zero news from dealer concerning my (company car) Jan 2022 ordered Estate iV SEL. My outgoing 2019 diesel Octavia Estate now well out of warranty, it’s been a troubled car since day 1, the off the road back at the dealer count is now 78 days since being delivered!!! The company doesn’t want to risk the liability of another failure and expense to put back on the road, so it’s being returned today to VWFS. In its place, least till October when lease concludes, I am been given a 2020 Mercedes A250e hatch that we have unused in the fleet. To say I am less than optimistic that that will buy enough time to see the Octavia iV delivered… I am now all but resigned to the notion that I’ll end up with something else from another manufacturer come year end. Skoda are leaving a really bitter taste over this.

Nice one, sounds like you have been very very lucky then!!! Good for you actually geeting ahold of the lesser spotted mk.4 Octavia!!

@BRSEngineer I follow your delivery news with close interest as see from the excel order listing that your order mirrors closely my order. Your latest unconfirmed build week 13 is late March/early April is it not? Maybe there is hope yet for my order!!! I think that is the general position of the entire Skoda Dealer Network tbh.. No clear lead from the manufacturer and at best a wholly disjointed exchange of comms from HQ. Us mere clients of the Dealer Network / customers of the brand are off the bottom of the chain of communications!!

As an out of interest exercise I got a price (only from local dealer) for the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer plug-in hybrid for a three year / 20,000 annual / full service & tyres contract (So as to compare apples for apples with my mk.4 order). The Astra price some +£175 excl VAT monthly.... So thats +£6,300 excl VAT over the contract period. No thanks.

Hypothetically as is presently.. If you draw a line under your mk.4 order, cancelling as no ETA given from dealer. What are you going to consider in place of the Octavia? Specifically for myself, its a company car order: Octavia Estate iV SEL trim. Personnel criteria in order or priority being: (1) Plug-in (2) Estate
