On an allied subject: This recent wet weather has shown that I seem to get quite a lot of splash up under bottom edge of doors. This leads to me getting ear ache from 'the boss' when her glad rags get muddy on the bottom; bottom of garments, not hers!....... Is there a strip that anyone has tried to stop this?

Just ordered, looks ideal as my Karoq is just that bit wider - makes some of my usual parking slots are a bit nervous making .....

Interesting discussion; lots of useful information for a new owner! I am interested in the reason for going for a full size spare though; why not the space saver - save room, and weight? My Karoq just came with the inflator and the dreaded 'gunge'. Am currently hunting for a space saver from the Karoq/Ateca/Tiguan/Q3 2nd hand market as I think it unlikely will ever be used. Last car, just under 10 years and 117,000 miles, only used spare once, and that was only in the last six months! If I regularly drove long distances to more remote areas I might opt for a full size, but otherwise ......

Hi everyone. A double first? Well my first Skoda, and my first automatic! Had admired the Yeti for some time but when time came (10 years) for new car, Yeti no longer.... So I checked out a variety; Honda CRV, Ford Kuga, Peugeot 3008, Nissan Quashgi and ............ Skoda Karoq. Sold! Felt 'right' from the moment I sat in it at the showroom, driving confirmed opinion. And there's all the little extra touches; hooks and rings in the boot, make it so practical. Choice of auto was acceptance of traffic conditions in the UK; apart from the Scottish highlands, where in the UK are we ever not in a queue of some sort?! So I'm just slowly getting used to all the new bells and whistles - I can talk to the car; 'Twix' courtesy of last three letter of reg. Been saving a few bob on extras too, courtesy of the shared Tiguan/Ateca/Q3 genes. Heavy duty boot mat/liner, mesh dog/luggage seperator and wind deflectors, all at a fraction of the dealer cost. Sorry, I'm rambling, which just happens to be a hobby .........
