I also had Auto Protect warranty. Satnav Systems quoted the warranty company for the repair and got it approved and paid for so I didn’t have to pay anything!

I had a new screen fitted which solved the issue for around 8 weeks. It then started doing the same thing. The guy who supplied/fitted the new screen didn’t want to know so I had the unit repaired by Satnav Systems who explained it’s not just a replacement screen and offered a comprehensive 12 month warranty. So far so good and I’m hoping it’s a permanent fix but only time will tell

Sorry, I never followed up! Had it repaired and all is good, in fact, better than it was before! They do a quick postal service too. You’ll need to remove the unit which is very easy. All you need is a Torx20 drive. Just go to www.satnavsystems.com and fill in the enquiry form. They reply quickly.
