Skoda Felicia Pacific 1.8t project

Engine is now mounted on its own in the car. Granted it's just sat on the chassis rails but I'm pretty excited about it. I think next job is to get it rolling so I can take it to home to do the welding -

AwWell I'm back and after sorting all of my other motors it's time to get back to the felicia. So an update on it Before I went away I had built a subwoofer box for the boot and installed 6 X 9s in the parcel shelf. Proper boy racer but it looks good. Theres a space in between the subs for a playstation 2 to sit in aswell so will be having that in the boot aswell😂 Since I've been back I have removed the whole front panel as it had rust and I'd rather just put a new one in. Plus it makes putting the engine in so much easier. Might see if I can make it removable instead of spot welded,🤔 I've started on making the brackets for the engine mounts aswell. Lots of cutting and drilling spot welds has been done. I'll take some pictures of the engine bay this weekend. -

Well the rear axle and tank are back in finally. Looks so good in there. Fuel pump works and is properly noisy😂 -

Finally got the filler hole rust welded and sealed. What a pain that was. Also managed to find an anti roll bar from a pickup😁 well happy with that -

Bit of an update. Front end is completely stripped wings off bumper off. Pretty much everything is out of the engine bay now and I have got the donor car for the engine. A 53 plate Audi TT 225. -

So had a couple weeks of form the Felda to do some work on a T25 transporter but back on it now. Would like the rear axle to be in by next week so plenty of cleaning and painting to do before then😐 -

Also for any Felicia owners and I imagine favorit owners I would advise checking behind your fuel cap for rust. Beneath where the filler neck bolts on in the wheel arch. Mines is very solid car with 76k miles and it had rust here so probably worth checking as I have never seen anybody mention it. -

Pulled out the front subframe tonight and decided that I was going to strengthen the dog bone mount. It has two ears that it mounts too, so I made a curved plate and welded it round the back to strengthen it up. It's probably not necessary but with the amount of power I want to put through it I thought it was worth doing. Will get some pictures once the grinder makes me the welder I ain't😅 -

Bit of an update. Pulled the engine and gearbox out. I'll use it for something one day because they are both low mileage and in really good nick so I'll maybe put that engine on bike carbs and stick it in a favorit or something. Most of the rear end is painted now but I found some rust in the wheel arch behind the filler cap. Seem like a mud trap so I'm not surprised so I'll get that sorted soon and then the axle can get put back in. I also massively underestimated how much time boring out the front knuckles for the coilovers was gonna take😂 -
