  1. Yeah that's what I thought too. Unless I've been unlucky with a bad batch of centre caps? I'll give the link that you sent a go and see it they're any better🀞
  2. Thanks. I've got those exact wheel nut covers and they fit perfectly! Those centre caps are the exact ones that I ordered, but they just don't seem to fit at all. As soon as I put them in they just wobble around, so definitely would end up falling out. Have you got the same alloys? Proxima 16"? Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong with the centre caps if everyone else is issue free? Cheers,
  3. Cheers. Yeah they're the ones I got but via eBay (matches the same code printed on the inside). Just seem very very loose like they're going to fall out if I go above 5mph haha. Just out of interest did you have to use any tape to bulk them out a little? According to some of the reviews it looks like other owners have had to do the same? I've got the 16" Proxima alloys. Thanks Andy. As I'm only toying round with the idea of removing the aero trims, I just wanted to have a go with some replica versions rather than having to spend money on originals. The replica ones were advertised as 56mm too but it looks like they're slightly under? Might end up having to go with the ones you mentioned from Skoda-parts - which seem to be the cheapest around. Thanks again
  4. Sorry, do you happen to have a link to the centre caps you ordered please? I've just got some but they're far too loose even though they were advertised as the correct size for my alloys? Thanks
  5. I'm no expert, but I'd say yes keyless start is safer compared to keyless entry. The thief would have to force their way into the car first and would probably set off the car's alarm before attempting to relay the signal to start the car. Nothing wrong with keeping the fob in a Faraday pouch, but probably isn't necessary.
  6. Hmm that's strange. To be honest when I first got my Fabia, the app was just called MySkoda. But it recently rebranded to "My Skoda Essentials". For me it has the exact same functionality, however, it's not very well spec'd compared to other car manufacturers though. You should be able to; See and locate your car on a map Sound horn / flash lights remotely to help find your car Unlock and lock remotely via the app Receive alarm notifications for the car View vehicle health report Check car status (vehicle locked, open windows, open doors etc) Some of these features may depend on the type of entertainment system you have and whether you have a Skoda connect plan - although on some trims this comes with no additional fees for 1 year
  7. I think that the "Kessy" name also covers "Keyless Entry Start Stop System", and also "Keyless Start and Stop System" which is a little confusing. I've attached the SE L and Colour spec below which refers to Kessy as just Keyless Engine Start and Stop
  8. Hey, It should be "My Skoda Essentials" which is compatible with the Fabia range
  9. Hi, As far as I'm aware KESSY doesn't come as standard and is an option on the Colour trim. I've got the SE L which just has keyless start. Here's the video for how to operate KESSY if you do have it on your car; https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/kessy_en/
  10. Cheers mate. I'll take a look!
  11. I'm thinking of doing the same with my SEL. Had it for 6 months and the alloys are a pain to clean with those trims on. Could I ask where you ordered your centre caps from please?
  12. Probably not the best photos I've uploaded to be honest. The strip is fine (as in no damage/hasn't been mangled), but the water has got in-between the chrome strip and the laminate finish on top of the strip. I'm guessing the water could be getting in from the very end of the strip? Those lines in the photo are bubbles from the water which has since evaporated after washing/rainwater.
  13. Hi, Received the car in early Jan. Recently noticed that the chrome window trim on the driver's side is retaining water underneath it, especially noticeable after washing the car/or after it's been raining. Started off as a little bubble, and has now spread further down the chrome trim. It's booked in at my local Skoda dealership next week for them to look at, so hopefully they'll be able to repair/fix under warranty. Just wondered if anyone else has come across this issue before?
  14. Ah that makes sense! Thanks
  15. Hi, My SE L DSG used to show "Eco" on the maxidot display when coasting in drive, but now no longer does it, would this be linked to the colder weather that we're currently experiencing? Had a quick look in the manual and can't seem to find anything that relates to it?
  16. Thanks. Will have a look at alternative flasks etc. Just really surprised that my 375ml coffee cup/flask doesn't fit. Even takeaway drinks are a struggle too.. having to balance McDonald's drinks in the door pockets which isn't ideal πŸ˜…
  17. Just wondering if anyone else is frustrated with the cup holder that comes as standard on the new Mk4? It's more like a small bottle holder to be honest.. can't fit any cups in? I know it's removable, so does anyone know of any alternatives that would fit, or any good "expanders" that would allow a cup to be inserted in the existing cup holder? Thanks!
  18. This seems to have done the trick! It's definitely hold the button like you said rather than push it. Thanks again! Problem solved
  19. Thanks for the reply. Mines keyless start, but not keyless entry. I'll have a go at messing around with the settings today and see how I get on 🀞🏻
  20. I'm having the exact same issue with my MK IV Fabia. I actually don't think the button has ever worked for me since I've had the car? Just out of interest (this is something I'm going to play round with tomorrow), but when you unlock your car with the main unlock button, does it just unlock the drivers door? I know this is a security setting which can be changed on the infortainment display but I'm just wondering whether having this setting enabled is what's causing the tailgate button not to work?
