  1. Gosh - Good thing I asked then! ok, no pressing the lock on fob twice for me - What a stupid bit of 'functionality' there! ....hhmmm... perhaps for parking on crowded roads, with fast traffic going by etc....
  2. Thanks Guys! 😀 To Deadlock - can I just press the LOCK on the key fob Twice? That would be an easier way to remember to do it every time for me.
  3. Hey TR, Many thanks for coming back so quickly about this, I really appreciate it 😀 Sorry, I'm a newbie on the Scala. Can you explain what you mean by '....Lock and touch the door handle within a few seconds to "deadlock" the car....' Can I check what you mean - Is it the below: 1. 'LOCK' - By pressing the LOCK button on the Key Fob 2. 'touch the door handle within a few seconds' - Is this the annoying 'run your hand across the 'slits' on the door handle 3. Deadlock - Does this mean - only way to open is pressing the 'UNLOCK' on the Key fob? And not having to use the actual keyhole on the passenger side? (Ala really old cars, needing the physical key else you are stuck.) Hope you can advise Best wishes Martin PS: The Keyless entry bit of the tech is just unneeded bonkers in my opinion!
  4. Hi All, Happy new Skoda owner here. Got a 2022 Scala SEL, '72 UK plate. It was funny driving home. At one point, on a dual carraigeway large round about, I was waiting at the front to go onto the roundabout - And there was a Yeti on my left, and an octavia on my right... Cool! My last car was a 2005 golf - gosh technology has moved on! I will have loads of questions and hope you can help 😆 Best wishes all Martin
  5. Hi All, ok... one year on from the last post on this... I finally got myself a 2022 Scala, UK '72 plate! Very happy with it 😀 Except... I'd really like to permanently disable the keyless entry. I cannot find the option in the Car console, or in the instruction manual etc. Has there been any update to this? Can one permanently disable the keyless entry on a Scale wit the latest S/W updates? Kind regards Martin PS: If permanent disabling will NOT work: Would a mass pertition to Skoda work? Do SKODA listen to their drivers?! PPS: We have been watching nightmare theft videos on Tube. Sure, most probably not happen on a base entry level Scala, but still....
