  1. I had the front wheels off my MK2 Octavia Scout (4x4) yesterday and noticed that when the hub on the drivers side is turned back and forth, a ‘Clunking’ sound comes from the gearbox end of the drive shaft, see the attached video. I can’t tell if its on the drive shaft itself (inner cv joint) or something further in. Is this normal or should I be worried? I can’t hear any noise or feel any vibration when driving normally or at slow speed on full lock. VideoPro_20250719_150124(1).mp4
  2. Hi, I'm stumped. The diesel cooler on my 09 Octavia Scout sprang a leak so I had to take it off to repair it. Now that's fixed I have a new leak coming from the 90 degree connector that takes the fuel from the cooler back to the tank. Skoda want £150 for a set of fuel pipes just so I can replace the one connector, can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative? A rubber fuel hose and jubilee clips is the best I have so far but it needs to be fitted with a loop as it won't bend through 90 degrees in the space available, that means it will rub and push the under tray down. Another option is a 90 compression fitting but they're made of brass so I'd be concearned about corrosion between that and the ali of the cooler. Any idea's?
