Replacment fuel connection to the diesel cooler

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm stumped.

The diesel cooler on my 09 Octavia Scout sprang a leak so I had to take it off to repair it. Now that's fixed I have a new leak coming from the 90 degree connector that takes the fuel from the cooler back to the tank.

Skoda want £150 for a set of fuel pipes just so I can replace the one connector, can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative? A rubber fuel hose and jubilee clips is the best I have so far but it needs to be fitted with a loop as it won't bend through 90 degrees in the space available, that means it will rub and push the under tray down.

Another option is a 90 compression fitting but they're made of brass so I'd be concearned about corrosion between that and the ali of the cooler.

Any idea's?
