Clunking from Scout 4x4 front driveshaft?

Featured Replies

I had the front wheels off my MK2 Octavia Scout (4x4) yesterday and noticed that when the hub on the drivers side is turned back and forth, a ‘Clunking’ sound comes from the gearbox end of the drive shaft, see the attached video. I can’t tell if its on the drive shaft itself (inner cv joint) or something further in. Is this normal or should I be worried? I can’t hear any noise or feel any vibration when driving normally or at slow speed on full lock.
