Some time ago someone asked if anybody knows if this reboots are also happening on VW's side. I only had the time to read the last few pages.

Until now, reading the whole thread through time, is there a single person who managed to get this issue fixed at the Skoda dealership? And didn't experience it afterwards? Because I think I never heard of anyone from this forum thread or other facebook groups who managed to get it fixed for good. I am really curious if they collect and centralize all this reboot issues somewhere.. because it seems the problem is only getting worse.

A good question would be: are these reboots still happening with the newly delivered cars? And do the recent delivered ones have the same hardware? Also, in the end, are these reboots happening more in UK due to some right hand driving strange behavior of the software? I seemed to notice that the reboots tend to happen more often in UK, but maybe it is just because we have more inputs on the forum from the UK side.. don't know.

Hi, everyone! I was trying to figure it out if it is worth having a ceramic coating applied on a new Octavia. Did you guys go for this and is it worth it? Also, what kind of ceramic coating did you use? I have found some popular ones like GTechniq Crystal Serum Light + GTechniq exo v4 or SystemX Max (some claimed permanent ceramic from USA). Has anyone tried one of these and were you satisfied with it? Thanks a lot!

Been updated today by the local dealer that the car is already in production (went into production at the end of April) and expected delivery date is now last week of July (week 30) - Octavia vRS 2.0 TSI hatch. I have also updated the spreadsheet with the current estimation. The car was ordered on 14 Feb 2023, so I am quite surprised to be honest, especially after all the info about the delays.

Is the restarting of the infotainment less frequent on the newer 1900 software?

People have been really satisfied with the Continental SportContact 7 as far as I've seen. It seems like a fair candidate to me

Sorry to hear that.. I know that quite a few people said that handling gets much better with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 or Pilot Sport 4S, but yeah, they are quite expensive..

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I was trying to collect different opinions from the owners so that I know what to expect from them. I don't know yet the build date for the car so therefore no idea if the car will come with Bridgestone Potenza or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric yet. As far as I could find out, these 2 are the most common tires the car comes out of the factory with.

and are you happy with them? I heard a lot of people complaining about the grip for the Bridgestone Potenza S003 and I was curious if the Goodyears' feel good with the car. Thanks!

Also, does anyone know if a change such as "EN- driver assistance (module A5) > long coding > Configuration for lane departure warning KI15 > change to "last setting"" has any impact on your warranty? Will you void your warranty if you make changes to this kind of stuff? Thank you!

Thank a lot for the clarification! Yeah, I only want to change the memory of Lane assist to "last setting" so that I don't have to deactivate it each time I have ignition on.

Yep, I also thought it was kind of strange.. anyway I'll get back when I get new info from the dealer. Anyhow, the initial estimate I was given was 45 to 55 weeks. I also put this info in the excel sheet for documentation. Another vRS 2.0 TSI was officially ordered 4 days before mine and already got scheduled for production about 2 weeks after that (sometime in June, if I remember correctly). Don't know yet if it was an error or they still stick with that date, because the dealer was also surprised with such quick scheduling when he first say it. I think the only thing left to do now is to wait It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll I guess.

Hello, all! I have also ordered an Octavia vRS hatch 2.0 TSI. Was told that the order was officially registered on 14.02.2023 at the factory, but not yet scheduled for production. I was also told that they are facing a "strong automatic gearboxes crisis" by the local dealer in Romania, but who knows if is the only thing they are "fighting" now or what else they struggling with..
