Thanks for that! I'll take a look into some of these and maybe pick one up. Just disappointed with the Carkinkit. When it works it flawless but it's a roll of the dice every morning when I get in the car if it's going to connect successfully or not

Carlinkit 5.0 2air Wireless CarPlay Adapter & Android Auto Wireless Adapter,2 in 1 Wireless Adapter for Factory Wired CarPlay and Android Auto Cars,Plug and Play,5GHz WIFI automatic connection: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo I got one a while back and when it works, it's great. A lot of the the time I get get connection issues where the car doesn't recognise it and throws up error messages. I have to to pull the USB cable in and out a couple of times to get it to start working. I'm using a decent cable (USB 3.1, high speed), firmware on the Carlinkit is up to date and my phone is a Pixel 9 and ssing Android Auto via the cable straight into the phone works perfectly. Just not sure if there's any settings on the Carlinkit I need to modify to get a better connection, or maybe is it the stereo in the car needing updates? Thanks Alan

I had the same issue, no heat on the right side, luke warm heat on the left side. Replaced the heater matrix and all good

I'm also having locking issues as per the OP. Auto door locks aren't working - can hear the doors trying to lock every time I stop and start again. The car is also randomly locking itself which could have been a disaster if it happened somewhere other than my driveway. Had it scanned and got 2 possible leads: Rear Driver Side Door Module - Switch for Central Locking - Signal Implausible Motor for Central Locking of Rear Trunk / Hatch - Short to ground Anyone else ever come across this and any recommendations on what to try first? The boot and rear door seem ok and are locking and unlocking with the fob? Cheers! Alan

No it still fogs up after a heavy shower or after I wash it, nowhere near as bad as what it was though. Been meaning to get the bumper off and remove the light for a closer inspection but haven't got round to it yet

Just to add an update to this, I was told about a little black sticker in the back of headlights you can remove that opens up 2 square holes in the back of the lights to allow air in and moisture out. I also noticed that there was some water lying on white hex screw adjuster on the light directly below the gap on the wing and bonnet. Applied a little bit of rubber mastic tape over it to try and divert the water. Not sure how much of a difference that made. But so far so good. There's been some heavy rain showers here since and not a drop of condensation in the light since. I'll add a bit of tape back over the holes and see how that goes.

Hi folks, anyone ever found a cure or cause for water getting into the headlights? From reading up on previous posts, I can only see that it was a warranty issue and was replaced by dealers. My driver's side one is deadly for it after washing or heavy rain showers Many thanks 🙏

Hi folks New Octavia VRS owner from Northern Ireland. So I left a deposit on this at the weekend. Needs a service and MOT carried out, so hopefully the guys can get that sorted quickly but I'd say it could be a couple of weeks with the backlog in our MOT centres here at the moment Its a 2018 facelift, 90k, FSH,TDI with DSG box. Really clean car for the mileage Probably have a few plans down the line with it, Wheels could do with a refurb, slightly lowered and, black badges, black grill surround and a full detail to begin with. Here's my previous car which I have up for sale at the moment, as much as I loved it - it just wasn't as practical for family duties and mountain biking! Plus the Octavia will save me few quid on the MPG 2011 Mk6 Golf GTi with 81k - Stage 2 remap from Celtic tuning and loads of stuff done to it. Will be sorry to see it go 😥 Thanks for looking Alan
