  1. Now it I gone from Connect Shop, yet infotainment keeps notifying whenever you start car that there is update for the app and it must be downloaded. Skoda quality... Superb iV 2020 (January) was the first one with MIB3 and boy does this thing still lag, crash, hang, throw errors even after nearly 1.5 years.
  2. Yes I have. Have even taken lots of videos.of the issue. Car has been inspected twice under warranty and they've disassembled the front bumper but found nothing, nor are there any error codes. And they of course cannot reproduce it in warm repair garage. This usually occurs on wet season (around 0-8C when it has rained) , but did also occur few times in -20C weather. Waiting for it to occur again (it has been rather dry here lately) and will drive to repair shop when issue is ongoing as they got instructions from Skoda tech to be able to see the issue. Total garbage request as I've sent them half a dozen videos of the issue.
  3. Skoda Connect has serious issues for everyone. It has been more or less unusable for several months now. Please file a complaint where you bought the Connect from.
  4. You cannot turn off that notification at the start, and personalization doesn't work. Welcome to the iV joyride, been waiting for these and other fixes for a year now, and although they are just software fixes, Skoda doesn't seem to able to fix them.
  5. It just doesn't work. Have had iV now for a year, and it only works perhap 1 time in few weeks. It rarely works for anyone in the past few months so it is huge issue with Skoda Connect service at least on this new MIB3. Have been in contact with seller, importer, manufacturer, abd they just can't get it fixed.
  6. I guess they just needed to bring the price down when launching the car. For £550 extra I'd assume you also get more speakers (11, or how many does the basic one have, can't find any details?), which in itself is of course a brings tiny bit of improvement. I assume the basic one doesn't have 5-step equalizer?
  7. Do the Full LED Matrix lights turn as the road curves?
  8. It's just the lumbar motor going out, up, in, down, so small software trick.
  9. iV has Skoda Sound System, not Canton Sound System.
  10. Yes of course on damp or snowy roads you lose a lot (of fun) with 2wd but 50km (we'll see) on battery was too tempting. Got 17" winter tires and 18" summer tires. I'm mostly afraid if there will be lot of noise from the 18" ones. These 17" winter friction tires are so soft that they were nice and silent. Asphalt here is quite hard so tire noise is commonly an issue.
  11. Yes, iVs only come in fwd. Don't really live or use car in places where 4wd would be needed so that's not a biggie. So far no surprises, except that Skoda Connect isn't connecting (not surprise, really) and the normal battery has moved from front to where subwoofer was, so no subwoofer even possible in iV said the dealer. Didn't notice that when ordering.
  12. My L&K iV is in Germany waiting for a boat to Finland, so I should have it in late Jan.
  13. As owner of a new Superb, I too ran into this question, and found that on this Skoda UK video it says: "acoustic filters dampen engine noise". So to me it sounds like Canton is dampening specific frequencies on the audio you're listening to based on engine RPM. That sounds trivial to implement as you will end up having only a dozen or so frequency profiles for the whole Superb line.
  14. Well, I don't have electric seats, nor leather, and right bum/thigh gets totally numb after 15 mins of driving. I've tried adjusting the seat to all possible positions without much difference. I'm relatively small size, so it shouldn't even be the width of the seat. Before Superb, I had Octavia with sport seats, and while they were not perfect, it took way longer drive before getting numbness.
  15. I've found Superb to have these kinds of rattling issues in multiple places. Yes, I'm a bit too sensitive for these things, but I've anyway managed to track down most of the sources and been able to silence many of them. I will have to check the place you're referring to, but can you put some silicone lubricant there, of insert something small between the rubber and the trim?
  16. Thanks, will retry with the broken one before ordering new ones.
  17. FYI first one of these died today, so after about 10 months of use.
  18. Thanks for replies. For later reference, it's called "limp mode" and it's indicated by this spanner icon. Happened last week again (second time), and car is not in warranty repairs, going to pick it up soon. Suspecting there isn't anything (software update perhaps) as car was there only for like 2,5 hours until I got SMS that it is ready.
  19. This morning I noticed a spanner/wrench icon where DSG normally shows what gear is on. It didn't look too alarming (no other error messages, or lights), so started driving. Apparently only available gear was 2, and drove maybe 1 km while trying to change between S and D, also tried changing manually with + - with no luck. Turned off engine, took kids to day care, and 10 minutes later when starting the car, no issues anymore. This was the first time experiencing this, so drove to work normally (maybe 50 km) and called the car dealer (3 months old car, 6000km driven, 6 gear DSG). Dealer hadn't heard of this type of issue before and couldn't guess any reason why this would occur, so he advised me to see if it occurs the second time and only after that drive to maintenance. Anyone else seen this behavior?
  20. Bought those for my Octavia maybe a year ago, good to hear they fit Superb too, and why wouldn't they.
  21. Few weeks with Crees, working fine. MY13. Before: After:
