Fitting aftermarket towbar
Hi I had an aftermarket bar fitted to my 70 plate edition 1.5 model, removable swan neck = I don't tow but carry a number of heavy bikes on a rack with zero issues.

Flat Battery
If only I could start the car - I'm waiting on AA to arrive so that they can give it a kick and then I'll try what you say

Flat Battery
Hi - thanks for the reply - just using a digital multimeter on the battery terminals. I'll speak to Skoda on Monday. I already had it booked in for a couple of other glitches - intermittendly not being able to turn on cruise control being one of them. I've had more issues with 14 months of ownership of this Skoda than 20 years of Audi before it. Frustrating.

Flat Battery
Good morning - this is a really interesting thread to me. I went out to the car on Thursday morning and click - nothing - dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and then warning message after warning message saying that all the systems were unavailable. Message appeared - battery low please recharge or take a drive. So I had to call the AA through Skoda (great service by the way) and he turned up and my battery was reading 11.3. It had been static for a few days but last week I did a number of 30 mile trips although interestingly I noticed that stop / start was reducing the number of times it kicked in. Also, as a result of a speeding ticket / bad boy driving course, I have been driving far more 'economically' than before. Saying that, Mr AA said driving style made little difference. Anyway, a quick jolt from his starting pack and off it went. The car is only 14 months old and just over 6k miles so I'm thinking I may have a dodgy battery. I'm keeping an eye on the charge is 11.3 and sure enough, trying to start the motor na-dah, nothing.

Front Assist Warning Light
Like BoxerBoy I have experienced it a number of times but it always involves the vehicle in front turning right using a filter lane. The system seems to think I'm about to hit the car that 'was' in front as I go up the inside of them. The only other time I have had it triggered, I was driving down a narrow country lane and there was a large bush / tree over hanging someone's garden wall. That triggered the warning also. It goes as quickly as it appears.

Traffication App
Hi all I received notification of a new infotainment app called traffication. Anyone had any experience of it? Seems to be limited to Columbus head units at this time and coming to other units later this year. I'm Just installing it so I'll see what the difference is https://www.skoda.co.uk/news/details/new-skoda-traffication-infotainment-app Jon

MY21 Amundsen Map update procedure
I've just been out to my car for the first time in about a week and thought I would check versions of software etc. and I noticed that my navigation database has been updated to 21.1 - haven't done anything apart from taking it for a run last weekend for about an hour.

New Karoq, first impressions and comparison
I have a late 2020 Edition and I have the bright Skoda on the ground and also more gentle lights under the wing mirrors - Only noticed those recently.

Rear view mirror down lights
Just checked my 2020 Edition and I don't have the little LED down lights. Feel like I'm missing out :-(

Buyer's remorse, please help.
I bought my car unseen and I had never driven one, nor had I ever driven a Skoda in any guise. I laughed at adverts on TV saying buy a used car and we will deliver it to your door etc. I thought who would be daft enough to do that? buy a car without a test drive. Errrr me so it seems. My dealer - Fish Brothers in Swindon did a 1hr video around the car, showing the details, how various things operated and when I went and picked it up I gave it the once over. It was officially deemed a 'used car' but it had 90 odd miles on the clock so practically new. Do I regret my purchase? not one bit - I love the car - its nice to drive - not very economical but I'm not doing that many miles. Would I buy it again? without doubt. Any issues? Only the poor sat nav / infotainment. Using CarPlay to get around that.

First Stone Chip - 5 weeks old
I hope you get it sorted - so annoying but I agree with Scot5 in getting it done professionally, especially when the car is so young. I'm seething tonight as I kerbed my nearside front wheel this morning. Only have 900 miles on the clock. Grrrr Jon
