Now the rear windscreen liquid is sprayed when I engage it under the car near the front passenger side when I engage it. Car is too low to go underneath with my big body 😔

It was a pain to get to but I fixed it. a physical rod connected from the knob to the actuator which turn the air flow up down and face. pretty simple and manual system , looks like to got knocked out by the previous owner trying to change the radio system.

The previous owner has indeed changed everything by themselves to this Sony on the picture. I am having trouble finding a good guide or a video to remove this radio and the aircon control to reach to the back and check the conditions of the connections. do you happen to have a guide please?

This knob on the right to redirect to wind screen and foot well is not working. Always directing air at face level. also is there a way to check if the demister button is working? I believe the demister is only for the rear isn’t it? I ask because the button lights up with no effect. Also the rear windscreen liquid is not coming out. Hearing motor sound though. ergh.

Hey thanks. It’s 10 years and at 63700 miles. my last visit they convinced me that the belt is deteriorating showing me a old rubber flaking on google images. 😆

I can PM my VIN to check the service history. Looking for cambelt replacement among other things. CAT N car.

quite unsure. It's listed under the ABS fault then again in the top of the report no error is recorded. Fault priority 6 means something from my googling. Ross-Tech: VCDS Tour - Fault Codes Number Meaning 0 Undefined by manufacturer. 1 The fault has a strong influence on drivability, immediate stop is required. 2 The fault requires an immediate service appointment. 3 The fault doesn't require an immediate service appointment, but it should be corrected with the next service appointment. 4 The fault recommends an action to be taken, otherwise drivability might be affected. 5 The fault has no influence on drivability. 6 The fault has a long term influence on drivability. 7 The fault has an influence on the comfort functions, but doesn't influence the car's drivability. 8 General Note

Turns out the aigbag cables were unplugged under driver seat. WTF. I stupidly thought the light means airbag feature is fully functional when bought the car. I wonder if the seller tried to cheat me by giving me a lemon, as they didn't know how to fix and Garage quoted 65 to diagnose and 400 to fix. Anyways, plugged in cables, a redditor helped me out with a VCDS and cleared the error. It's gone. Status says OK on the VCDS report. Good to know the airbag is fully functional now. Fantastic!

Piggybacking on this, did you manage to change it yourself? Any guides please? Recommended tools? How would one know that the spark plug needs changing? All looks okay since we bought it at 63k miles.

How to fix this error with ABS please? No fault lights on the dash. Few questions, Does my car have ABS? Status: OK 0000 it says in the top but Fault is present says in the bottom, Priority says 6, a minor one? Fault frequency says 2 and reset counter says 4. Does that mean in the last 4 times it has been reset, it came up again twice? 0193 Door Contact switch, not sure what it mean or how it is related with ABS. Any insight would be helpful!

Good idea! I noticed it says VW and some numbers number. Found a connector. Looks like I have to remove a the plastic bit that goes over the bulb holder (male and female connector) Mine is stuck!
