Fabia Mk2 1.2 HTP - Uneven idle / occasional difficulty starting / running rich
I purchased a VCDS to read any codes properly and hopefully get some more info, it has found three issues. It is worth mentioning that the car has been notably much worse on very hot days. 16556 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1 P0172 - 007 - System Too Rich - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Voltage: 0.740 V Voltage: 0.820 V Lambda: 0.0 % Bin. Bits: 00001000 Voltage: 0.860 V Voltage: 0.780 V Lambda: 0.0 % Bin. Bits: 00001000 17549 - Load Calculation Cross Check P1141 - 007 - Implausible Value - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Lambda: 37.1 % Lambda: -37.1 % Lambda: 36.7 % T.B. Angle: 3.8° 18529 - Post-Catalyst Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Correction; Bank 1 P2097 - 006 - Too Rich - Intermittent Freeze Frame: RPM: 3072 /min Mass Air / Rev.: 163.5 mg/str Lambda: 0.0 % Voltage: 0.580 V RPM: 2240 /min Mass Air / Rev.: 223.5 mg/str Lambda: 0.0 % Voltage: 0.080 V I cleared them and it hasn't had a stalling episode yet, but the idle is up and down pretty regularly. Can anyone suggest the next course of action please? Thanks.

Fabia Mk2 1.2 HTP - Uneven idle / occasional difficulty starting / running rich
Thanks, I have checked all the pipes, by eye, by feel and with a camera and I can't find any split or leaking.

Fabia Mk2 1.2 HTP - Uneven idle / occasional difficulty starting / running rich
Hi, I had a problem with the car always stalling when coming to a stop, plus uneven idle / running rich / occasional difficulty starting. I changed the obvious items, air filter, fuel filter, plugs. Compression test carried out and was fine. No check engine light showing but there were a couple of errors stored:- 16825 / P0441 - EVAP system incorrect flow - I changed the N80 EVAP valve and this cured the stalling when coming to a stop 17769 / P1361 - Cylinder 3 Ignition Open Circuit - Changed the coil pack Cleared codes and they have not returned. So I am left with uneven idle / running rich / occasional difficulty starting. Occasionally when you pull up it seems to drop the revs and then surge/drop/surge/drop a few times and then sorts itself out. I am wondering if it is a dirty or faulty injector, but they seem pretty expensive to replace on a whim (Part 03D906031G) Any ideas or suggestions what to do next please! Thanks.

Fabia 1.2 - 5 speed - 2011 - Gear Selection Issues
So just to close this one in case anyone finds it whilst searching for similar symptoms...... Issue was with the selector, the outer cable had become detatched form the housing. Pretty easy to sway over and feels perfect now.

Fabia 1.2 - 5 speed - 2011 - Gear Selection Issues
Hi. I have a newly acquired 2011 Fabia with 82,000 miles. All was well for about a month or so and then I found that selecting 2nd gear was staring to feel a bit vague. Over a matter of weeks it go much worse. It is difficult to describe but it wouldn't 'click' into place and felt very vague, not at all positive. Occasionally it wouldn't actually select the gear and on releasing the clutch would crunch. 4th gear was similar but nowhere near as bad. 1st, 3rd and 5th were absolutely fine. Oddly, when the car is stationary (running or switched off makes no difference) you can move the lever very positively into all 5 gears and it feels great. As soon as the car is moving the problem is there. My first step was to reset the gear selector mechanism, this made no difference. Re-did it 2 more times to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Got the opinions of various people with relevant experience and the general thought was that there was an issue with the gearbox. So, I sourced a second had (22,000 mile) gearbox and have changed it, along with fitting a new clutch and associated parts while it was all in bits. Used genuine oil. Result..... absolutely the same. So, the only thing that hasn't been changed is the selector/lever mechanism. This looks like a bit of a pain to do mainly on terms of separating the exhaust. But, if it needs to be done then I'll have to crack on and do it. But, what is bugging me is the difference in the problem being absent when stationary and appearing when being driven. So my questions are:- - Has anyone experienced this problem, or similar and if so what was the outcome? - Would a complete second hand selector mechanism be the best route, or strip down mine and try to replace any worn parts? Thanks for reading, appreciate any input anyone may have. Thanks, Andy.

Hello from a 'New' Fabia Owner in Notts
Hello. New to Skoda, have always had SAABs previously (and still have one) and know my way around them like the back of my hand, however I know nothing at all about Skoda other than the quality of the car I have bought has really impressed me. The car is the 3 cylinder Fabia 1.2, 2011 model. I have a couple of issues which I will be posting about, one minor, one particularly troublesome. Look forward to spending some time here and learning new things... Andy.
