  1. Appreciate your post Kirk, thanks. I've now gone back to a Seat Ateca again, so will have to consider them as they would also be able to service my Ateca being a VAG build vehicle. Couldn't get on with the Kamiq with its heater controls being accessable only via the infotainment system/non electric handbrake and only part LED lights, for a car less than six moths old, one thing I do miss though was its fuel economy easy to obtain 50+ mpg.
  2. Had much the same with both my rears, bought the car from the main dealers here in Norwich, said that rusty rear discs caused because when braking the fronts use 70% and rears 30% of braking force. Car had done 5435 miles in 6 months when I bought it, have attached pic I kept, Dealer had it in for a day, told me the'd taken both discs off and cleaned them up. Just had a look, in same condition as pic, ( speedo now on 7123 miles )
  3. Firstly its just about imposible to change the front bulbs because they are housed in the daytime running light unit with no easy acces to replace ( dealer only I suspect ). The rear indicators are easily accessable via the rear tailgate as are the reversing lights ( as shown in drivers handbook page 46 ). I got mine from Ledpperf, they do kits for the Kamiq, not cheap ! The indicators do not throw up a fault, I think its because the front indicator draws enough power at the same time so the system thinks there is no fault. The reversing lights however do show a fault on the dash, but the light they produce is very brighter ( I can put up with the error ) I have found nothing in obdeleven to assist in this. NOTE : as yours is a 2019 model thing may be different, particlarily the frontset up.
  4. Thanks for that m8, yeah can see that reasoning, obviously I do not uderstand the in and outs of VAT.
  5. One thing I forgot to mention, the reason for changing is because the wife has got troubles with both her legs and particulary her right knee, over the last couple of months or so it is gettiing worse, she has a problem getting in and out of the Kamiq, and indeed getting comfortable once inside, she prefers to travel in the back seats, i tell her that the front passenger seat has more leg room, but to no avail. Thats why I wanted to change vehicles, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Kamiq. Stonekeeper, I paid VAT when I purchased the car. The invoice shows Vehicle Price £21,158.32 VAT @ 20% £ 4.231.67 Total £25,390 So I guess its a question of hanging on for a year or two when it shouldn't have depreciated so steadily. And thank you for your thoughts kodiagsportline
  6. Thanks for that, But I'm absolutely gutted that in some 16 months the car has gone done in sale priice by approx £3000.
  7. Now thats the sort of price ( £21000 ) I was expecting as the minimum trade in value. I know one thing, the stealers won't be getting to service the car !
  8. Winston, the car came from the Essex branch of Group 1 Skoda to the Norwich branch, I suspect it was either their demonstrator or their loan car originally. In respect of the ads that have been posted on here, these dealers seem like they want to make something in the region of £4000 profit between a trade in and then selling the vehicle on.
  9. Appreciate all your replies everyone, I forgot to mention I bought this in August 2023 with 5458 miles on the clock from a main dealer for £ 25395. Just been offered £18000 as a trade in against a 2022 Kadiaq, Now on 6657 miles, car is spotless still looks like new, cannot believe its lost so much value in less than 16 months.
  10. I own a 2023 (January) Kamiq SE L Executive 1.0 TSi 110 PS Dsg, finished in Black Pearl Magic My question is, does anyone know how much this was when new ? As its a bit of a rarity, I cannot find any for sale so that I would be able to ascertain what it might be worth. My thinking is if I had some idea how much it was new, I can roughly gauge how much it should be worth after some 15 months. Thank you

I had already changed my throttle responce on mine using the app on my OBD11 a few days ago, I must say that I certainly didn't feel much improvement, this was using the infamous Norwich Nothern distributor road, where the speed limit is 70 mph on a dual carriage road with roundabouts, negotiating three roudabouts on my journey to do the weekly shop.

As you can see I've got the SE Executive TSi 110 DSG, I do too notice a bit of lag when starting from a dead stop, I have to be a bit careful when pulling out especially onto a busy roundabout (D1). Nearly got "had" last week because the stop/start had cut in, thats the first time ever since I got the car last August, always make sure now its switched off. Previously had a Ateca TSi 1.4 DSG, which didn't seem to have that lag, but suppose it was because of it being a 1.4 engine. Up to now I have not noticed another "Executive" about here in the Norwich area, what makes the Executive so different from other "top of the range" Kamiqs ? I am dissapointed when I see youtube videos showing Kamiqs with their full led tail lights ( some even scrolling ) even front led indiators too, heated windscreen and power operated tail gate. You'd think using "executive" would imply something like really top of the range, Fuel economy is very good I find.
  13. Thanks for the info, Steve.
  14. Thanks for that steve, I will see what he would charge nearer the time ( January ) for my first 2 yearly service , also as I live that side of the city its good for me as well. I presume he's got a waiting area as well if need be ?
  15. Hi there, the only thing in Robinsons favour is that they can provide you with a loan car whist they have your vehicle in for any lengthy work. bit of a must when you live out in sticks, and you've got things to do. I liked when I had a Seat and Duff Morgan would collect in from your home address ( pre Covid ). I presume that Clive doesn't offer a loan car ? And does Clive have access to the full Skoda diagnostic program if need be ?
  16. Just come across this post acemcgraw, how'd you get on ? Just a thought, I notice that DASAUTO on Blue Boar Lane Norwich advertises themselves as a VAG group repairer, I have read very favourable comments on their site. https://dasauto.uk/
  17. Just had another look at these and the fitting involved 1. Very confined space to work in on Kamiq access panel for reversing lights. 2. The unit itself has to be scewed to metal. 3. Existing wiring does not have much play/give in it to work with. I note in the users comments however they do seem to do the job.
  18. looks like they use those crap rubbishy "scotchlock" connectors to make the connections, not for me
  19. Yeah ! I have thought about fitting a led light fixture to the rear "spoiler" trim if I can find a way into the reversing lighting wiring, did that once to a Seat Leon I had but the problem is all the trim removal involved. It done the job though, either that or run the feed from the gearbox reversing light switch ?
  20. DON'T BOTHER ! Sorry to say they still show an error on the dashboard, I am currently awaiting a reply from them. Strange they show an error when the indicator ones from them don't, bulbs have the same composition. You will note that it has also taken well over a week from them to arrive. 😞
  21. I'm afraid that the items are still in France, awaiting transhipment to the UK, both the French postal service and Royal Mail have confirmed this after doing on-line checks, so I expect delivery Saturdays post at the latest. I appreciate you do not want to waste your money on something that does not work. but I would add that after reading the bulbs description on their website., I note that their "build" is identical to my recently purchased indicator led bulbs, which work perfectly, as they should. So you can either wait until I get mine and fit them and report back or purchase them now and get a discount, although I would add that nowhere on the site do they say that they actually guarantee them to work.
  22. Hi there, I am hoping for them to be delivered by Wednesday's morning post, relatively easy to fit, will post results mate, asap.
  23. Forgot to add, the offer is valid until midnight on 24th November.
  24. Anyone who may be interested the code is bf23. I have just ordered the led reversing bulbs and got a discount of £7.19p. The previously ordered rear indicator led bulbs are working fine, with no errors.
  25. As this will be the first map update since I've owned the car, when should they likely be available please ?
