VRS iV Tyres
Evening, I have an 23 plate VRS iV estate that is in need of two front tyres. It's a lease car so I want to make sure I get a suitable replacement. The current tyres are Bridgestone Potenza … (marked S005). Using my number plate Costco currently have Bridgestone 225/40 R19 (93)Y POTENZA XL S001. Any idea what the difference is and if VWFS will care? I can't see any marking about run flats, etc. on the current tyres. Any advice much appreciated!

Fuse #3 worked for me (only had to do it once)

Expired care connect deals
I've had my lease a year now and i assumed that skoda would send me some sort of code to extend my care connect - they didn't. I didn't have to pay for this functionality on my last (VW) lease. Its not worth the cost (£36 for me) but i have noticed that octopus intelligent no longer seems to work properly since it was turned off. Could just be a coincidence I guess.

Locking pin for EV cable will not engage followed by complete 12v battery failure.
Thanks, pulling Fuse 3 just worked for me 😀

That's the thread i raised back in August. Thankfully, no issues since the software update. I'm cautious about draining the draining the battery now. If I'm away, and can't charge overnight, I'll make sure I've got a mile or two left.

Octavia iV and Intelligent Octopus
It's really unreliable. I've just been through a patch where it worked flawlessly for about a week. It then started reporting that it couldn't control the car (I hadn't changed any of the settings). Guess it's difficult because the apps have to talk to each other (octopus, podpoint and skoda). I now turn it off if i know I'm going to need a full charge.

Octavia iV wont charge - plug will not lock in place
So the garage said that the car is fine and I have had my software updated to 1941. They said that the software crashing probably drained the battery - not sure if that is a credible explanation. Anyway, no crashes since and car is charging fine. Fingers crossed!

Octavia iV wont charge - plug will not lock in place
An update. Today the car was completely dead. Range Skoda Assist who got the AA out who confirmed the 12v battery was completely flat. The AA man did his thing and suggested I take the car out for a good run. Just got home and plugged the car in and the charging cable has locked in place and the car is charging. I'm booked into Skoda next Tuesday for them to look at the charger and update the software so I'll post an update then.

Superb iV charging issue?
Sorry to resurrect this thread after so long, but I'm having the same problem (with an Octavia iV) and was wondering how you resolved it? In my case the connectors does not lock in place. The app has the charge plug status as "Plugged" but the plug as "Unlocked". No lights on the charging port of the car. Thanks

Octavia iV wont charge - plug will not lock in place
Thanks for the prompt response. Yes, I have tried both my podpoint and the granny charger with car locked and unlocked and no difference. Car "knows" it is plugged in because it warns me not to drive off. I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong (has worked fine for a couple of months before yesterday). I'll keep experimenting.

Octavia iV wont charge - plug will not lock in place
Afternoon I'm having another problem with my iV. When i plug it in to charge, the plug doesn't lock in place. The white led just goes out. I've can't see any debris in the socket. Any ideas?

Thanks for your responses. Agile looks really interesting. Just worried how expensive it might be in the middle of winter.

Octavia iV and Intelligent Octopus
Simple question (hopefully), is anyone having success with getting enough charge from Intelligent Octopus? I've been using it with for about a month and whilst it worked well for about a week or so, recently I have only been offered sufficient overnight charging slots to charge to requested level. For example, last night I wanted a full charge (battery at 3%) and it only offered me two half hour slots. Vehicle - Octavia iV Estate VRS Charger - Pod Point Solo I'm sure I have everything set up correctly - no plans active in MySkoda app - Pod Point set to manual - Octopus App controlling schedule Just wondering if anyone else is having similar issues or if I'm missing something obvious. Cheers in advance 🙂
