according to the computer im getting around 42Mpg but i only do city driving so its not to bad but to be honest ive only filled a maximun of £30 in the tank so far so the 550 is an estimation really half tanks says i get around 280 so i generaly doubled it to get the 550 but it wouldnt be an accurate reading. the gearbox is not that bad and i dont think it will go anytime soon so far the best price i have had is 800 for a refurbished ne so far but unfortunatly they want the old gearbox as they all seem to want it back so couldnt sell it on even if i wanted to as it only happens between 50 and 70 mph and im only city driving i never see the problem really arise that much but ill may think about changing the gearbox in the next few months unfortunatly i got the car with the problem so i dont know when it arose but the car is only at 92000 miles so it doesnt really put much faith in the gearboxes

ive got an ambiente TDI Automatic and its been a great car to use parts have been relativly cheap and fuel has been great only having to fuel up once a month is a bonus for me getting around 550miles to a full tank and thanks with the slighlty faulty gearbox it slips between 50-70mph in 4th a mechanic told me it could be a stuck valve so i popped in some gearbox condtioner from slick 50 and hopefully it will free itself up or ill have to get another gearbox unfortunatly its just to big for me now and im only doing around 4 miles round trip to work so it isnt getting used so time to sell on i think

Ok I have a Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI and having a slight problem with the gearbox and was thinking of replacing the box altoghether and i have been told that other models will fit in the skoda since i have found another gearbox i was wondering if anyone can confirm or not if this gear box would fit or not its from an audi A3 TDI automatic and since its my first diesel auto can anyone tell me where to find the gearbox numbers thanks in advance
