  1. Fingers crossed for you. The stickers covering the holes were square if I remember correctly, 1inch x 1inch at most.
  2. I dropped the exhaust off the rubber mount then unclipped the heat shield, it was tight but enough room to tighten bolts with a 12 inch extension on torque wrench.
  3. I did my vrs towbar install not too long ago, I felt the same as you but the holes were there. Measure the bolt holes on the towbar legs then measure the same distance onto the chassis, use finger not a screwdriver and you can feel the softness where the hole is covered. I would be surprised if skoda stopped putting the holes in but you never know.
  4. Also for the side with the exhaust, I found it easier to drop the heat shield and use a 12in extension for socket on torque wrench to tighten the bolts. Good luck
  5. They will be there, not easy to see but go by feel. Use your finger and prod along the under seal, you will feel the patch covering the holes. Peel back, it comes away like a sticker.
  6. I haven't actually seen mine yet as I'm working away, and it was delivered to home. I bought from the bay of e, 75 quids which seemed reasonable. Will let you know the detail this weekend if you can wait, but hopefully you are sorted.
  7. Brilliant, thanks. I will get ordering.
  8. Please do let us know, I will order soon.
  9. Evening all, I have purchased a spare (18" space saver) as I only had the gunk kit. Could any of you provide the part number for the foam that sits inside, where the tools/jack would locate. Thanks in advance
  10. Hey BigJakk, Thos is the one I used on my Vrs Tdi (64 plate), from ECP.
  11. Good luck, and please remember to make scans of the car before you change anything. That way you have some to reference at a later date if something is wrong. Enjoy the install, I bet you will feel like you needed smaller hands at various points (I did on the octy), just walk away, catch breath, have a brew then continue. Saves breaking something.
  12. You will need Pro pack to enable long coding with OBDeleven. Use of the apps is not recommended as there have been instances of it messing up cars (plenty of posts on here). As for the coding process, very simple using the instructions pinned on this page, not sure if your Superb will be the same though, so that is worth further investigation. Good luck 👍
  13. Apologies, I didn't see it had posted twice. Anyway, enjoy having a play with it. Amazing what you can do with the car.
  14. Word of caution, the apps on OBDeleven although great can mess things up depending on variant of car etc etc plenty of posts on here of people that have had issues!! If you have the pro pack then the advice would be to use the long coding option using the sticky threads at the top of this page. And always, always make a backup before any changes. Enjoy, theres loads you can do. Kev
  15. Yeah, simple enough if you understand basic mechanics. You will need a wind back tool for rears, they can be had fairly cheaply on various sites.
  16. Fitting folding and memory mirrors, what sort of price range for this upgrade? Mine are currently the standard heated glass. Kev
  17. I'm about to start gathering quotes for the same, so that's a good starting figure for me to work from. Thanks
  18. Someone more technically minded will probably give you a better answer! However I would have thought that in theory if you moved the switch (micro switch that gear stick engages when selecting reverse) to outside of the gear selector and maybe changed it to an on/off switch then you could control when it's on?? Just my thoughts 😁😁
  19. Good luck, hope you manage to get it sorted.
  20. I have installed a Westfalia detachable, granted on a Vrs 2.0Tdi but no other changes. Overall fitted in around 6 hours on my own including all the coding, while also walking away at points wishing my hands were smaller. The instructions did not state anything other than what I did needed to be changed.
  21. Having my rear bumper off yesterday, it seems they should just clip into place.
  22. Nothing yet, however everytime I have wanted to tow I've had to borrow another car. Thought it was about time I got my own. Plans are to venture onto a caravan at some point but not in a rush.
