  1. Brilliant, appreciate the help
  2. Well, s/h motor. I don’t love the car enough to spend £250 on a window motor.
  3. Thank you! That sorted it. Off to buy a new window motor…
  4. My door alarm is pinging at random intervals, very much presents like a short somewhere. Things I’ve tried: -Unplugging the driver’s door loom completely. Issue goes away (as does the functionality of my door). -Unplugging the door lock module. Issue persists. -Checking all wires in the bellows. There was one split (solid brown) so cut, spliced and heatshrink applied. Issue persists. I cannot find any splits in the wires but I haven’t checked the entire loom, just the section between the speaker and doors. The fact that unplugging the door module doesn’t cure it doesn’t point to the microswitch, especially when unplugging the whole thing from the door does. Any suggestions appreciated!
  5. Great post, I've been struggling with this... had all the door looms apart and no breaks, everything looks fine, problem persists. Will pull the fuses to the window motor and see what happens. Interestingly enough previous owner had a mechanic do some work to the window motor...
