I too wanted a full size spare. I now have it - a new full size wheel and a 215/55 R17 tyre (underinflated). Thanks to all on here for inspiration. Rim only sits slightly lower than boot floor but with tyre sits slightly higher. Some thick underlay is the solution - I found some grey stuff from a national carpet shop. The polystyrene inset in the spare wheel set had to be trimmed to fit inside the new rim so maybe there's a more appropriately sized version. Hopefully the photos answer any questions (they at least answer the questions I had before I started)
