A litlle update:
As a partner said to me, I were looking for some white effect W5W bulbs:
I were looking for Philips Bluevision, but I saw these ones:
Here a pic of toshiba W5W bulbs that came with the headlights (yes, the bonnet was open)
Here a pic of Piaa (in my parking place)
In these headlights is a little bit more difficult to change the bulbs
I've also unmounted the right headlight because the regulation didn't work (both regulation axis went out from their positions), fitted yet
Changing the Xenon bulb is a quite difficult than an halogen lamp
Now that I have my headlights in the correct height, I can say that this mod is one of the better mods than you can do to your cars (or even the best mod)
The headlights' range is very good, and the light is as good as the sunlight
The cost of the complete headlights + a pair of Osram D2S (for spare) + shipping were 565€ (from skodateile.cz)

Two days ago I've installed a pair of PIAA Xtreme W5W bulbs (to match colour with xenon)
With a little bit of time I'll make an How to of mounting the headlight and washers
I will also build a very simple tool to mount the Cupra Bushes
When all be done you'll se some pics

Hi forum, let me present my Fabia to the forum: (sorry for my english)
It's a 1.9 TDI Elegance (6Y2364) in silver with 14" Spirit rims, with 2000 june 12th manufacturing date
I bought it in august 2007 (2nd hand) with 90600 km in the odometer (actually have about 151k)
I'm very happy with this car, but not enoug to let it as it cames form the dealer

I'm posting this little DIY, because I'd think that can be useful
You must do 3 simple steps:
1: Lightly remove the right panel of the trunk (like if you would change a lamp)
Then you must see the "bowden wire" (inside the red circle in the image)
2: take the bowden an pull to the rear of the car
3: replace the bowden to its original position
4: replace the trunk panel to its original position

Pioneer has the Avic models, but a carputer is cheaper than one of these systems
I've mounted one in my fabia, and costs me about 750-800 Euro (excluding speakers and power amplifier)
My carputer has GPS navigation, TDT, DVD player, HDD,..... even vagcom

I've only ever used Fontographer by FontLab. Not sure if there are any free ones available?
I looked into making one, but the amount of missing letters there are put me off. Plus the new Fabia has new lettering, so I assume the new range will take that on now?

(all the bold letters have a shape - from FABIA OCTAVIA and SUPERB (does the Felica use this typeface?) - the rest would need to be constructed from scratch. The em & en spaced letters would be the most difficult to get right. Kerning would be pretty easy and leading is a bit moot on a title font)
Maybe I'm just looking at it from a perfectionist point of view, this is partly what I did at Uni; it'd annoy me if it wasn't spot on.
the Felicia, and the Laura (Octavia in some countries) also used this typeface
I've maked C ,D ,E, H, I, R, S, T, U, X and Y
if you want, we can make an alphabet together, and make a font file
I'm using Intergraph Smart Sketch to make the letters from scratches

I am doing a complete alphabet with the Fabia letter style

PERSONALISED WINDOWS BOOT IMAGE
After lots of searching, finally I found a pic of "Fabia" logo to edit, and make the word"fabiaputer"
After editing it with Macromedia Freehand, Paint Shop Pro (I don't Photoshop), Intergraph Smart Sketch (to make "puter"), and again PSP, the image was ready to install with Tune Up Utilites 2008

what did you have to repair? and what problems did you find?
I went to a techincian, and he changed a pair of condensers and some other components to the screen "mainboard"
the only problem that i have now is that if you turn off the screen (in its on/off key), it turns to white (if you stop the "feeding", it turns to black)
but, no problem, because i've welded an interruptor to full turn out the screen

Weird - I had a screen like that as well and had loads of problems. In the end I sent it back to the US and gave up! It was connected to the car power. I wonder if that was the problem all along!!
How much are they these days?
I had problems with the screen connected to car battery
after repairing it, i've connected to PC power supply, and no more problems

with a signal converter (it converts high signal of the H/U output into low signal output to plug into the amplifier, but there are amplifiers that have high signal inputs) you don't have to change the H/U

brilliant stuff, i was going down the in car pc route, and ive even got the same model of screen already in the car. sadly the screen now refuses to work via touch screen. which has stopped any more work on it till i find the problem or get a new screen.

if you have the screen connected to car battery, this maybe the problem
my screen also refused to work, and i sent it to repair, now that is connected to pc power supply there are no more problems

Looking to start upgrading the speakers in my vRS.
First off, im going for an amp and 6x9's
Found a nice set of Vibe ones, 400w max, 135w RMS
So, for an amp, what W rating will I need? Do I need one with similar power as the speakers?
If you can mount 2 separate ways, the sound will be better than the 6x9
If the speakers have 135W RMS, you must search for an amplifier that has at least 135W RMS per channel (the better the more power, to avoid distorsion)
The impedance of the speakers must be the same than amplifier's impedance
