Sounds like a lemon to me, I got my Scala Monte Carlo 1.5 tsi new back in June 2024, only problems I have had are small like false alerts saying indicator lights are not working which disappear on an engine restart.

Thanks for the advice, Regarding money lost i meant with the 10k deposit I paid for car and 3k in rentals when the agreement is finished, handing the car back and having nothing seems a big hit to me even if I have had use of car for 3 years. Guess that's just life.

I am just weighing up the options of then my finance agreement comes to an end in Feb 2027, i know still a way to go. I have never had a PCP before. if I just hand the car back does that mean all i have put into it is lost? i think by then i will have paid about £15000, also if you trade in for a new model your stuck with another Skoda but i dont really want another, can you just p/x with another manufacturer? I could just pay off the final payment so i can sell the car I guess but I think by that point the car wont even be worth that much, but i will check at the time. i did think of making some overpayments on car now but that could be just more wasted cash going into a car I doubt i will own.

This is settings I have, I have tried all three and doesn't seem to make any difference.

it seems to be fine when following a car, and when a car is coming towards me it seems to wait until the oncoming cars headlights are visible, I have tried it on near and far in the settings and still makes no difference. its a shame as i would rather leave it active it really does make country lane driving at night much better.

No matter what sensitivity setting I put mine on I still get flashed by at least one or two people on every journey at nighttime its annoying as I really like this feature but I have had to resolve to disabling it and sing the old style main beam when needed, does anyone else have this problem?

I checked mine when warm and it's 750rpm it's only 1000rpm when starting from cold

Same I miss my 2.0 TDI engine and I would of chosen that one in the Scala had they not discontinued it. Gave me a smile accelerating up hills. I almost feel my wife's 1.0 95bhp engine in her new ibiza feels faster and more responsive than the 1.5 scala after driving hers. I will definitely be trading in this car when PCP is up in 3 years.

I don't use the in car sat nav or laura, I use waze on android auto. Not had any other niggles apart from air bag warning light comes on on still every time I start car. I don't mind the infotainment system the only things I don't like is no shortcut back to android auto if I have to say go into the radio menu or air con menu I then have to hit the menu button again and select android auto from there. Oh and still can't get use to the lack of power from the 1.5 engine.

I bought these bulbs to but I'm sure they don't fit my Scala the 2 pins look much wider that my original ones, how do you get the old bulb out the plastic housing does it just slide?

Anyone know how to update radio station logos? I have found you can download them from skoda to copy to car but my car does not appear to have an sd card slot? Maybe connect a USB stick to one of the USB slots?

my 24 plate car has developed the air bag light fault now, it must have been sent through to the dealers as they called me earlier to book it in. I think I will just leave it now and wait till there is a software fix for it.

I have had no lights or issues with mine so far after 4 weeks ownership, but to be fair i have only driven it 3 or 4 times its still only on 350 miles. Reason being i car share with the wife for work and we have been away a few weekends and not needed car.

On mine I have to turn off the speed limit warning manually every time, same with lane assist.

Yes it's the same dial on inside of door that you use to adjust the wing mirrors and turn on heated mirrors

Yes you can turn off the rain sensor permanently in the infotainment menu, i have on mine. mirrors fold in on there own when locking yep you can turn the dial to fold in mirrors im not sure if it only works at slow speeds as i have never tried it, only time i used it on previous car was going down a narrow country lane with limited passing places.

Congrats guys, Mine was actually ready to pick up last Friday but I put it back as I was driving to Scotland for a week so didn't want to put over 1000 miles on it with the pcp in one week. Also wanted to take my diesel for the extra power, torque and economy, I am going to miss it. Driving back in the morning 400 miles

The Dealership asked me to set it up as you get a year free then have to pay for services he said, i will give it a go and if dont like will just uninstall, guess its handy to see if anyone has stolen your car as you would be alerted. I guess its like a tracker.

I have also set up the 5 days driveaway insurance with Skoda and registered for the Skoda Connect and downloaded the apps and linked the car, there seems to be two apps MySkoda Essentials and MySkoda, I just installed both and signed in them. not sure maybe only need one?

No he just told me via Email what new Reg was, I didnt ask if I could change it, my pcp paperwprk was all sent via secure login and done and signed online. I guess its as im 112 miles from my Dealership.

nice, I got the same message a couple of weeks ago and i have a collection date for mine now of 28th May and I have signed all the PCP paperwork and got my new Reg number.

lets hope it is here in 3 weeks then and the weather is good then!
