Climate control issue
Thank you, the fan runs at full speed. I can hear it whirring away but the air coming out of the vents is a whisper. I try cycling through the different vents but it doesn’t help. The only thing that works is shutting it down for a while which is not ideal in this weather!

Climate control issue
Yes, sorry I should have mentioned that in the first post. No fault codes thrown up
-
Climate control issue
Yes it does it on auto and with a specific vent selected

Climate control issue
Hi all, bit of a strange one. Hot day, I whack on the air conditioning and all is dandy, lovely cold air blasting out of the vents. Within 20 minutes or so the air in the vents slows to a whisper even though the fan is whirring away. If I completely shut the system down for about 10 minutes, or turn the car off for a while then it works again but only for 20 minutes or so. I’ve carried four the resets by pressing the two buttons but to no avail. I can’t understand what is wrong, if it was a stuck vent it wouldn’t work at all.

Estate boot latch replacement
Cancel my last, I figured it out

Estate boot latch replacement
Hi, I need to swap out the boot latch on a Superb MK3 estate. I have removed the trim and taken off the two bolts holding the boot latch in place. However for the life of me I don’t know how to get the cable unhooked from the old one, and then reset into the new one. There is a very small aperture where I can see the cable hooked on but I can’t imagine how it would give me enough room to unhook and more importantly re-hook on the new one

Superb estate boot issue
Hi, my Superb MK3 estate has developed an issue whereby the boot doesn’t lock fully and I have to give it a shove. It seems to half lock but to lock it fully I have to push it manually, bit of a nuisance when I forget and have the boot rattling when I’m driving until I can pull in and sort it. Have any of you come across this in the past? Im wondering if it is just the boot locking mechanism

Car alarm siren
Thanks everyone, I swapped it out yesterday and beautiful silence ensues!!

Car alarm siren
Cheers guys. I didn’t look in the centre, I thought it was near side. You were spot on, I just swapped it out. Did you have the issue of the alarm going off for no reason?

Car alarm siren
Hi folks, I need to swap out the alarm siren on my MK3 Superb and wonder if any of you know exactly where it is located? I have taken off the wiper and lifted the plastic cover but it's not there. I have also removed the wheel arch liner and nothing there either. It is on the nearside at the bulkhead somewhere but I can't locate it. Martin

Car alarm going off
I’m not sure but the information suggests that you don’t. Try and then go into the infotainment after a few times where you lock and unlock it and see if the interior monitoring has activated again. If it has it’s just a matter of pressing twice each time

Car alarm going off
Try this: I believe pressing the fob lock button twice in quick succession (or the door handle if you have kessy) will cause the interior sensors to turn off. I think the red led changes its flash frequency as well (less frequent). If you disable in infotainment it only goes off for that occasion.

Car alarm going off
Surely there is some kind of warranty on it? Or at least a situation where the dealer would look at it free gratis? In the meantime I’ll speak to a guy I know about the issue and see if he has come across it

Car alarm going off
What year is your Kodiaq? You mentioned that it was new. Is that new to you or new off the shelf?

Car alarm going off
It is a mk3 but the same issue appears in multiple posts about the entire Skoda range. I’m not sure where your interior monitoring on/off switch is. Mine is on the B pillar but you shouldn’t have to deactivate it every time

Car alarm going off
Hi, I have the same problem on my Superb. I replaced the main car battery but it’s actually worse now. I have bought a replacement siren and will let you know if this sorts it out when I fit it. if it still goes off then I will be focusing on the bonnet release catches. I have the interior monitoring switched off so it’s not the sensors there

Battery coding
Thanks guys, do you know if it’s a big issue to replace the alarm module if that’s what is the problem?
-
Battery coding
Thank you, it is a 2017. I’m not sure if/when the main battery was ever changed. I didn’t consider a failing battery in the actual alarm itself and am guessing this is a big world of hurt!

Battery coding
Hi chaps. My car alarm is starting to go off in the middle of the night since last Sunday. I have read a few posts which points to a failing battery. I had it tested today and although it read as good it is barely above the line. I don’t want to go to Halfords or the like for a fitting and would prefer to buy a good quality battery and fit myself. The issue I have is the coding of the new battery. Could any of you recommend a cheapish OBD reader which has this functionality? Thanks in advance

You’re a gentleman, thank you

Cam magnets
Thanks very much Dilino. I see the socket for removing the valves on EBay for around £30. Does this sound right? Lot of money for a simple tool!

Cam magnets
Morning, In an effort to get to the bottom of the rough idling on my Superb tsi I have bought some replacement cam magnets. I will also clean out the solenoid. My question is, are they just a straight swap out or will i need to reprogram the engine or click my heels three times or anything else I should do/know?
