Hi folks,

I need to swap out the alarm siren on my MK3 Superb and wonder if any of you know exactly where it is located? I have taken off the wiper and lifted the plastic cover but it's not there. I have also removed the wheel arch liner and nothing there either. It is on the nearside at the bulkhead somewhere but I can't locate it.

The interior monitoring alarm + battery is located at the bottom of the b-pillar, behind the trim.

Having replaced the Siren in both my Passat and Superb, you are in the correct location.

Base of the windscreen, in the plenum chamber, remove the plastic cowling and you will see if front and centre.

If it is not there, possibly, you do not even have an alarm system, as that is the ONLY location for it on our cars.

Cheers guys. I didn’t look in the centre, I thought it was near side. You were spot on, I just swapped it out. Did you have the issue of the alarm going off for no reason?

No I never had any issues with mine.

ŠKODA Australia used to have the replacement of the Siren as part of the 6yr / 90,000km service.

They no longer replace them as part of the service, as you know the price of these are very expensive.

I located one from a "wreck" newer vehicle and just replaced it myself for minimal cost.
