Change oil in rear differential
Currently in 2 minds on attempting this DIY or dropping it into a specialist independent...As this is getting really close to my mechanical limits with someone else guiding me... Just like you I've been looking at the specialist tools required and wondering whether it is worth paying the £890 quoted labour to do the whole job including lifetime diff oil change as well, as they have a workshop, 4 post lifts, the specialist tools already and the experience. As they're saying it will take them 13 hours to do all of that...I could easily double or treble that with my inexperience and not having a workshop, 4 post lift, specialist tools. I'm just pricing up genuine parts compared against their quote, as they will allow me to supply everything if I desire as long as genuine parts and currently lllparts.co.uk are coming in £180 cheaper than them...However there's a minimum 12 working day lead in with delivery!!! I'm just currently using skoda-parts.com to price including the fly wheel and I have they chance LUK flywheel to get that 66% cheaper through them than my Skoda specialist. They also said when quoting get a price of a LUK part they're the OEM manufacturer for my car and you could get 50%+ cheaper than us!!! I've also gotta contact my local skoda parts dealer in Writtle, as they sometimes do great prices on parts that beat websites listed above, so I need to give them a chance! Currently sourcing the parts myself for the indy could save me in excess of £700 from the original parts quote!!!

Change oil in rear differential
It's good to just have a second set of eyes who has done it first to compare against the theory, those who have been there before are more experienced 🤩🤩🤩 I know what you mean 3 years on the manufacturing line can be worlds apart from supply chain and specification changes. I'll get her jacked up/on ramps when I get back on holiday and use your photo and my schematics to do a finally compare before I order parts. Thank you so much for your help, it is greatly appreciated. Dan

Change oil in rear differential
Going to be a typical skoda thing, where mine was one of the very last CFGB engine codes for the 170bhp 3T Mk2 Superb combi estate that everything was being mix and match between the face-lift to Mk3 releases...I can see it now! It's not the first time I've had this with parts being mixed about on the production line! That'll teach me for having a model where only 20 odd were ever registered in the UK 🤣🤣🤣

Hey @rbhelle, Thank you so much for replying. I've got it the other way round from schematics on Google...and lllparts.co.uk X2 N902 818 02 for front diff drain and fill plugs. X2 02M 409 057 for rear diff drain and fill plugs. We're halfway there just not sure what way round and quants though from your reply. I'm very confused now...I must go and look at schematics again! G- Change oil in rear differential
Quick question my very helpful people and @rbhelle, I'm having to drop subframe, engine, gearbox, transfer box etc to replace the leaking rear main oil seal (03L103171A) on my Superb 2014 L&K 2.0 TDI CR 4x4 CFGB engine. So I'm taking the opportunity (hopefully once in a life time) to replace the lifetime differential oil in the front and rear axles. However I'm not sure I have the correct part numbers for bolts 3 and 4 in the diagram below. For the fronts: Front seal bolt combination: x2 No. N902 818 02 Rear sealing plug: x2 No. 02M 409 057 Am I correct those are for the differential oil plugs and NOT the Haldex oil drain and fill plugs. Hope you can help. Thanks Dan G- Window weather seal replacement
Hey @mbSuperb I was going to enquire what a PR:4ZE and PR:4ZB on lllparts.co.uk too 🤣🤣🤣 As that confuses me! I've got a 2014 Combi (3T5) Superb 2.0TDI 4x4 DSG L&K...So we all know that'll be the most expensive part possible in the range. 🤪🤪🤪 My missus does all the interior and exterior trim works and has all the necessary tools!- Window weather seal replacement
Hey @Aaron_S, @mbSuperb, is it literally that easy? Are they a combined item. I'm going to try and look up the part number on lllparts.co.uk isometric/sectional drawings. Is that the outer chrome covered seal that me and @Aaron_S are trying to replace? https://www.lllparts.co.uk/product/3T0837475A/window-aperture-seal- 2.0 TDI oil pressure sensor location?
What engine code was it?- DIY servicing on MkII Superb?
This... I've found it very easy to work on and the only things I haven't messed about with, as I don't have a four post lift, are the timing belt and water pump (as for £80 labour they can have all the fun), the DSG and Haldex Oil changes. They may be getting the oil leak to deal with though soon, as we think it may be from 1 of 2 places and both need to be on a lift job...1 repair location is going to be a hell of a lot of work so the workshop can earn their money for that one, if it happens!- 2.0 TDI oil pressure sensor location?
If you can get on Erwin...its shown in the maintenance schedule section or engine section clearly. I remember seeing the figure diagram but can't find it...at the moment. I've got an oil leak and thought it was on there but after engine bay steam clean and inspection the next day the oil sensor was ruled out...for now 😈😈😈 G- Battery replacement
Who'd have thought 8 years on l, the Varta batteries would be £10 more than Bosch S5 batteries on Tanya Just swapped my battery this morning to a Bosch S5A08 on my 2014 Superb MK2 2.0TDI L&K 4x4 (should have done this last week, but wasn't well), as been having a lot of problems with ABS Sensors and TMPS Sensor fault codes on O/S front axle. Was having to contemplate destroying a bolt head holding the sensor on to replace it, as it has properly seized in after 10 years and then go through all the hassle of drilling and tapping and possibly destroying the item it's attached too, which I think it's the wheel bearing hub assembly? 🤔🤔🤔 Done 50 miles today they turned off 20m down the road and have never come back on...yet! However the oil leak on either the seal DSG gearbox or big end seal looks like it has got a lot worse, since I had the engine completely professional steam cleaned top to bottom 2 months ago 😟 Glad I had all them fluids changed 6 months ago 🤦- Melted Mess !
Hey Fixitsan, have you tried to do a factory reset of windows up and down so they know their correct position whether up or down and where they should be in the correct phase. Dan- Melted Mess !
https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/skoda/CZ/SUP/851/2/253/253042 That seems to be the area I think you're talking about. But you need your own engine block code to narrow down the correct engine and sensor part numbers from the diagram.- Melted Mess !
I've only got the MkII Superb so only know their engine codes and not the Mk up or below, I'm not sure what your ones are. However I use lllparts for their isometric drawings it takes a bit of getting used to as certain items are not under what we think they would be! They break it down into multiple link headings as you'll see when you go on the website. https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/skoda/CZ/SUP/851/9 This is for the Skoda Superb Mk III. Hope this helps you in some way. G- The (felt?) pad between the sump and the plastic engine tray - what's it called?
I know it's resurrecting an old thread. But I found the part number on my (64 Plate Superb Mk2) felt still clearly etched in the fabric today, should anyone require it? The part number is 03L 103 660 C and it is called an Oil Pan Cover or Lid: https://www.lllparts.co.uk/product/vw-audi-oil-pan-cover-genuine-vw-audi-03l103660c/id/469315 Or https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/03l103660c-oil-pan-lid-skoda-19610.html They're some serious money, 3 figures worth in pounds alone. However, the previous workshops didn't know how to do an oil change without saturating it in old engine oil! So I'm going to be learning how to degrease this felt properly with soda crystals, orange concentrate degreaser and another proprietary degreaser, whilst trying not to destroy it with a Karcher pressure washer! Thankfully I do my own servicing, so I won't be coating it in anymore oil now! - Change oil in rear differential
