  1. Has anyone had the software update? Did it work? My dealer has the car but gone ominously quiet. Last week they said.....We are currently getting an error message displayed (on the factory system not the car) when we reach a certain point of the update. They are not replying to me today, assume it's not working. Anyone anything to report?
  2. Thanks for that, that is depressing! My dealer has tried to install the update but they are currently getting an error message displayed (on the factory system not the car) when they reach a certain point of the update. All crap really
  3. My car was in the workshop for most of tuesday day....but...the dealer said yesterday:... currently getting an error message displayed (on the factory system not the car) when we reach a certain point of the update. The saga continues

  5. Great to hear. I am waiting to hear from my dealer
  6. Excellent idea. I picked my superb up in July on a Friday and returned it on Monday. It has been there ever since, I have been given a courtesy car. I have only driven it 10 miles since July
  7. I agree. There are too many computers in modern cars. Skoda CZ emailed me last week saying, The issue resulted very complex, affected more control units therefore the whole issue required more time than other
  8. I can't tell you at the moment, I am waiting to hear from the dealer, I have just emailed them. I will post another reply as soon as I hear from my dealer
  9. Skoda UK and my UK dealer says the update comes out today. I am waiting to see!
  10. I am told by my dealer and Skoda UK the software update is due to be released on Monday 2nd December
  11. The important question to me is why are Skoda still selling these cars when they KNOW they are faulty?
  12. I contacted my dealer as soon as I received the email from Skoda CZ. They haven't received anything from the factory yet but hope it comes soon
  13. I have just received this email from Skoda in the Czech Republic: thank you very much for your email. We deeply understand your frustration. Till these days Skoda have been intensively working on the correction of the software. We are very sorry for the time you have been waiting. Let us explain why it has taken the time. The issue resulted very complex, affected more control units therefore the whole issue required more time than other tests. Now the software is ready. Kindly check the availability of the your preferred workshop for the update.
  14. Thank you for that. More information for my next complaint email ! Skoda have really messed up! Why do they not say something? Do they hope the problem will go away if they ignore it?
  15. I agree, with the help of Google translate. Lots of complaints in the German forum
  16. There are complaints on this site from Hungary, Romania and Ireland. I have also seen comments on YouTube reviews . There is an official Skoda TPI code (technical product information)., tpi 2075197/3.
  17. For those of you in the UK who want to express your frustration, annoyance etc, may I suggest you email Mathew Bowden the director of Skoda [email protected] This is a genuine address, if he is bombarded with emails expressing dissatisfaction, he might do something.
  18. The latest I had from the Executive Office received on Tuesday is: With regard to the release of the software update required to rectify the issues with your vehicle, until the Škoda Factory provide me with a date that will be released, I cannot provide any further information. Any information that I would be able to provide at this time would be purely speculation on my part and this is not something that I am able to provide.
  19. It is a disgrace. Did Skoda not do any testing before they launched the car? If a manufacturer calls its product SUPERB, it should make sure it is. As a previous person said, it takes a long time to build a good reputation, and a very short time to loose it
  20. I don't know, sorry. Many people are waiting for the fix. If it is so complicated it has taken 4 months to fix, and no light at the end of the tunnel Skoda must have know there was a serious problem when the car was launched and hoped they could fix it later. They must be guilty of selling not fit for purpose, and misrepresentation. I have asked for my money back but no success yet. A manufacturer calling its product SUPERB should make sure it is. This car is obviously not!
  21. , Acar displaying warning lights will fail the MOT and perhaps invalidate the car’s insurance, therefore the car is unroadworthy.
  22. Skoda have had 4 months to fix it, and failed. Skoda have no idea when it will be fixed. The car, is in the dealers, they do not want to release a faulty car. A car called superb obviously is not Why did Skoda sell cars all over Europe with dangerous (dealers words) faults.
  23. Absolutely right coppertop. It is definitely not worth giving yourself a heart attack. What is sad for me is, I have bought new Skoda for 30 years and seen a constant quality improvement. Skoda, for whatever reason have slipped back 40 years to skips on wheels. The car is illegal to drive on the road due to constant warning lights, it is not fit for purpose. Why did they release a car for sale which they know is rubbish?
  24. Unfortunately the car is a disaster, I will never buy another skoda
  25. Thank you for that. Always good to know. It seems Skoda are returning to the bad old days of a skip on wheels
