Been Away for a While
Hi Have gone through a couple of Cars since last was on the Forum, happy to be back. Picked up a Fabia 2013 1.2 Tsi DSG Car seems to be fine had a couple of repairs for recent MOT. Which is where I come to a problem. Drivers side seatbelt Stalk when putting the buckle in to the slot it is only with extreme difficulty that I can get it to engage. It appears as if someone has taken stalk apart to try and fix this. If I hold the red button down I can just about manage to engage the seat belt. So Iām probably looking at buying a new one or sourcing one from the Scrappy. Happy Days š

Oxygen Sensor
Thanks for the replies. My Stepson who is a very good Mechanic. Uses an Autel Scanner which he knows his way around. He sent me a Video of the Sensor which has a Black plug on the end. Due to the location on the Manifold it will have to be given a fair bit of heat to loosen it so that the threads don't strip. He checked with a multimeter on the plug end and he's 99 percent sure the Sensor Lead has gone. I'll order one this week and hopefully he can fit it this weekend coming.

Hi I had an engine management light come on the other day. Had it diagnosed as the O2 Sensor. It appears to be the one at the back of the manifold with the Black plug.Ive had a look on eBay and theirs a Pre Cat and a Post Cat. Any idea which is the one behind the manifold.Dont want to buy the wrong one. It's 2016 1.2 TSI Thanks Ian

What bulbs for fabia mkIII?
Nice Post I followed the Instructions. Thought at one time I was going to crack the mirror, pressure I was putting on the latches seemed excessive. Finally got the Head Shell off then the real fun began š Taking the old unit with Bulb out was super easy. When I went to fit the unit I'd bought from eBay,it was a nightmare. Looked and felt like it was made of Peanut Brittle. I guess that's what happens when you buy cheap. All done now everything back in place. Thanks for the Photos and info. Ian

Mystery Symbol on Dash
Car didn't come with a Handbook. Probably went the same way as the Service History. So I'm Driving along this evening minding my own business. When a symbol appeared on the Dash. Yellow Triangle with I think an exclamation mark in the middle. When I had a chance I switched off, gave it a minute then switched on. The symbol was gone couple of minutes later while driving it was back. Anyone have any idea what it means ? Thanks for any help Ian

Under Geared ?
Hi Had the Fabian a week now. Noticing the gear ratios seem quite short I realize it's a 1.2 so maybe that's how it should be. My arm seems to be going up and down like Fiddlers Elbow š. I can be doing 35 in 6 th Gear. The dash comes up with change from 4- to 5. 5 to 6 With very little speed actually being done. I'm thinking on a Motorway run this might be a disadvantage. Last Car I owned was a 2.0 Diesel 70 on the Motorway revs just starting to approach 2000. I guess it's the price you pay for modern engines fuel economy etc.
