Didn't swear just mumbled under my Breath. Found it just as difficult replacing as removing. Those clips would chop 🪓 your finger off given the chance. I'm assuming the Spark Plugs live under the Air Filter housing. Are they accessible ? Thanks Ian

Thanks Going to attempt to take the AirBox off today. If you don’t hear from me for a while.. it’s cause I’ve fallen in to the engine bay and can’t get out 😂 Pushing my luck here is their a Video on how to remove the Spark plugs 😬

Thanks Son in law about as useful as An Ashtray on a Motorbike. He's also not well at the moment. So if I can get the Air filter off how hard a Job would that be. Looks like Clips holding the top on Fragile ones I'm guessing 😞

Thanks Had a look at the replies. Not been to well recently haven't had a chance to look at Spark Plugs and Air Filter.. Soon as I can I'll check both.. Car has done just short of 20000 miles. Never had any service History when I bought it. My Son in Law who is a Mechanic put his diagnostic tester in it. He mentioned something with the engine,which I promptly forgot. Will ask him to check it again. Thanks

Doesn’t happen every time but occasionally I get a rattle from the engine on start up. lasts about 10 seconds then gone. Also seems to Shane a little bit, this also goes after a minute or so of driving. Anything to be concerned about ? Thanks Ian

Thanks for the informative post 👍 Was merely making an observation of what was and wasn't in the Car. I don't sit in the Back so wind up windows there is fine by me 😀. As for the rest of it not really bothered. The Android Auto is a Bonus. I guess if I go on a long Journey the Cruise control might come in handy. Your right about spending money on a 7 year old car. However I sometimes carry things in the Back and would prefer the windows tinted their. Have even managed to persuade the Wife to drive it and she hates a manual gear stick, so I guess overall I'm happy with the Car as it stands.

I’ve been making a few observations in the last few days. I’ve only owned the Vehicle 1.2 TSi SE L since Wednesday. I did some research before buying the Vehicle and from what I could find out the 1.2 TSi SE L was quite well specked out. Well it is and it isn’t. i’ve got front Electric Windows and Rear Wind up Windows, the front don’t have auto close. Not that big a deal. I have Auto Headlights but not Auto Wipers. Semi Climate Control seems to be for hot cold and Air Con. I’m booked In next Week to have the rear Windows Tinted thought that might have come as standard.Front Seats raise and Lower with a wheel to move the Seat angle. Their not very well padded out no lumber support. I do have Cruise Control whoopee 😀. Is it the Policy of Skoda to give a bit and hold back a bit ? Or are they all options that have to be ticked when buying new. Sorry about the Rant 😬

Thanks Been in to Timpsons at Clydebank. Their a small shop their They told me if I go down to Braehead Shopping Centre, they have a larger branch who could do it, between £200-300.. If I'm out that way tomorrow I'll drive down to Dumbarton and check out A for Audi. Exciting stuff this. Almost like a Treasure Hunt 😀

Quick question. The key I have is the one where you have in your pocket and push the button to start. If I’m right I have to lock and unlock by using the buttons. Would this be the expensive one to have replaced ? Thanks

Thanks That was very informative. It recently had a new Bosch battery fitted, something to do with the Start stop system. I’m quite good with Cars have had a few over the years. Ill probably do the majority of the servicing myself.. Oil and Filter Air Filter Disks and Pads Does anyone know the location of the Pollen Filter. Car didn’t come with an Owners manual or for that matter service history. The mileage is extremely low for the year. I contacted the Original Skoda dealer that sold it in 2016 the only record they have is of it going in for Diagnostic test sometime in 2022. looking through the Mot history it had its first in 2019 then all the way through to March this year though appears to not have an Mot for 2023. Strange Car but seems fine looks and drives like it’s done exactly the mileage displayed. Guessing it was a second or even third car in a household..

Hi i guess this has been asked a thousand times. I did have a Trawl through the Forum links. Popped in to the local Skoda Dealer today, I’ve only had the Car a couple of Days I enquired about the price of a basic service, Oil and Filter around £330. Air Filter and Pollen another 100 pounds or so on top. Theirs a BMW dealership behind the Skoda and I thought for a minute I’d gone to the wrong place 😂 Anyway next shock was the Spare Key the car only came with one 😤 they had a look and reckoned just shy of £400 all in, Fob blank cutting and programming. I debated on asking if they would take a Kidney in PX .. My next question was if I obtained a Fob with the circuit board and blank, and had it Cut would they programme it.. Their reply they could try but they’ve never had much luck with non original Fobs. I’m guessing this has also been asked before. Anyone tried with any success ? Thanks Ian

Hi Have bought a few Cars over the course of time.This is my first Skoda. Today I bought a Fabia 1.2 TSi SLi 2016. its a six speed manual. With just under 20000 miles on the clock. One owner Car. I did my research HPI etc Car is a Class N. Front Bumper and Headlight,been repaired to insurance standards. all seems straight. I’m hoping to get a few miles out of it in my decreasing life time. 69 this year. know doubt I’ll be asking silly questions 😀on the Fabia section. Please bare with me. Thanks And glad to be here..
