  1. Don’t want to jinx it but never had a problem since my last post 👍
  2. Still cured it seems, a trip form Lanarkshire down to the coast in Northumberland and around for a week and still all good 😁
  3. My update lasted a day then pop pop 🫣 Not happened since then though which is the longest time so far 🤞
  4. Go to settings on your info screen, then into ‘system information’
  5. I’m not unfamiliar with forums which is probably adding to me feeling a bit stupid about this to be honest, I’d have been more thorough during my purchasing episode. I did have almost 2 hours test drive and looking over the car with no concerns though and having missed out on a similar car soon before I was confident. It’s a couple of weeks before I’m booked in so will just keep calm for now 👍
  6. Thanks for the reassurance, hopefully you’re both right…. I procrastinated over replacing my car so really disappointed it’s soured by this fault. The dealer I purchased from (non Skoda) had given me a warranty so agreed they’d cover any costs for diagnostics but suggested due to the warranty I should be fine to go to a Skoda main dealer if I preferred. They are a fair way away from where I stay and I’m close to a Skoda dealer so felt I was doing the right thing. The main dealer was firm, it’ll cost for diagnostics. When I called Skoda Uk customer service soon after booking to check this was normal they gave me the impression they’d call them to discuss this but then having called again for an update they had said they’d spoken to the dealer and now agreed, it’ll cost. Discussing the fact I was a month ahead of their warranty ending and I’d already flagged the issue then led to the CS person checking with a colleague, result of this was I’d have to pay either way. I’ll pay the money and see how it goes, hopefully I’m worrying too much.
  7. Annoyed I was unaware of this SOS error message, just traded my MK3 Octavia technology in 4 weeks ago for a Mk4 VRS (2021) and starting to regret it already… Might seem over the top but I’m seriously thinking of moving it on if there’s no definite fix. Amazed VAG group can have so many owners putting up with a sub standard car. Not impressed at all by Skoda now, my cars warranty isn’t up next month but even although I’ve contacted a main dealer, booked it in and my cars warranty is still valid they’ve confirmed I have to pay a diagnostic charge as it’s booked in a week after it’s 3 years old. Just passed 20k miles and pop pop then error message driving me crazy every day. My old car is still at the garage I traded it in, 67 reg, not a mark on it and no issues…. What have I done 🫣
