  1. Thanks dieselv6 - I'm not sure if the glass has been replaced as I haven't owned it from new, but that's another good avenue to explore. Thanks for the tip. Neoprene strips arriving in a couple of days!
  2. Hi all, I've got the dreaded wind noise issue on my 2016 Octavia SE on the left hand (passenger) front door, coming from somewhere around the front third of the window at the top at 55mph+. It is not the resonating hum noise that some have mentioned, but a wind noise (like the window is slightly cracked open). I know there is often some wind noise in this car, but it's far more noticeable on the passenger side. I've been through a number of posts on here and so far I have tried: Replacing the rubber door seal on the body of the car - no change. Having someone run an electric air duster over the area - I can recreate the sound when pointing it towards the pointed tip of the scuttle panel. Suggests not the air coming up via the bumper grill some have mentioned? There are no obstructions in the door seal on top of the car door, nor the seal that the window slides into. I have done a window reset (holding down the button in an open and closed position) from the drivers side. No change. Does this need to be done from the actual door with the issues? I have used electrical tape and taped up the following before doing a test drive: The internal door seal (the one along the bottom that comes halfway up the door by the hinges). No change. The edge of the windscreen The scuttle panel including the tip. No change. The panel gaps between the wing and A pillar and the wing and bonnet.. No change. The gaps on the wing mirror between the indicator and the mirror shell. Aside from the final fix of having someone adjust the door latch to bring it a bit tighter (which I don't hold much hope with as the door doesn't seem to be out of line) - is there anything else I can try? Pics posted in case someone can spot something unusual..
  3. Hi all, I bought a 2016 1.2 TSI SE not too long ago and its been fine - a couple of the usual issues (DSG (P) switch error and a leak on the rear wiper motor) but all sorted. However, when i bought OBDEleven, I can see a couple of 'silent' issues - i.e. things I hadn't noticed and have had no obvious impact. 1. B12DC01 - Lock unit for central locking, rear, right (Electrical Error) - I'd have assumed this would have meant the door unlocking/not locking or some other obvious fault, but I've checked it over and over and it never seems to be in the wrong state. 2. B10F000 - Compressor switch off by engine - it hasn't happened for a few weeks (I'd cleared this a few months ago) and I didn't notice anything when the timestamp happened. I've had no obvious issues with the AC. Any ideas what might cause these issues? Is it 'normal' for a modern car to have some issues that don't matter? Thanks all
