Silent Octavia Issues - door lock and AC switch off by engine

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I bought a 2016 1.2 TSI SE not too long ago and its been fine - a couple of the usual issues (DSG (P) switch error and a leak on the rear wiper motor) but all sorted. However, when i bought OBDEleven, I can see a couple of 'silent' issues - i.e. things I hadn't noticed and have had no obvious impact.

1. B12DC01 - Lock unit for central locking, rear, right (Electrical Error) - I'd have assumed this would have meant the door unlocking/not locking or some other obvious fault, but I've checked it over and over and it never seems to be in the wrong state.

2. B10F000 - Compressor switch off by engine - it hasn't happened for a few weeks (I'd cleared this a few months ago) and I didn't notice anything when the timestamp happened. I've had no obvious issues with the AC.

Any ideas what might cause these issues? Is it 'normal' for a modern car to have some issues that don't matter?

Thanks all
