  1. It was really strange to me as well, no it doesn't look like anyone touched it at all and the slot for the bulb looked like brand new never had a bulb in it
  2. Sorry to use this old discussion but i have a similar question. I have a 2000 Octavia 1U5 MK1 with the AKL petrol engine. Ive never seen an EML light on my dash light up even when there were some codes in the engine. Out of curiosity i took the dash off to check if the bulb was burned or something like that and saw that there isn't a bulb in that slot, and there were no scratch marks indicating that one was never installed. I put a bulb in that slot to see if it will light up when i swith the key on but it never came on. Was that an option for those cars or what, does anybody knows anything about that
  3. Hello everyone, some time ago i updated the central locking system of our Octavia to a convenience one, changing from 1C0962258J to 1J0959799Q and later to 1J0959799AH for the remote futures. We used all original parts pulled from junkyard cars and everything is working good except for two problems i have. The first one is that i can unlock the car from the trunk lock, it cam lock it but refuse to unlock, it unlocks normally from any other lock from both front door and the remote, checked all the wiring and switches and everything is fine, no idea why is doing that. The other more annoying problem and honestly the one i want to fix the most is when the car is unlocked from anywhere, with the keys or with the remote she lowers all windows down right after unlocking unless you unlock her second time right after the first and that cancels the rolldown of the windows. There is this code in the module "01033 - Central Locking Key Switch; Passenger Side; Unlock 29-00 - Short to Ground" we tried changing the lock mechanism of the passenger door with new one but same problem, the oter thing we noticed is when i unplug that lock mechanism the car doesn't roll the windows down anymore after unlocking and works as it should, checked the wiring inside the passenger door but couldn't find anything wrong. Also tried swapping the 1J0959799AH module several times with different ones but the problems remain. Please any help will be appreciated
  4. Hello friend, i can help you with that but i need the engine designator for your car, for 2005 1,6l there are AEE, AEH, AKL, BFQ
  5. Hello everyone. We've been upgrading our family car a 2000 Skoda Octavia 1U5 with more options because when we bout it it came with almost no options. Last year we installed factory AC on it. This year we decided to upgrade it with electric windows and mirrors. We updated the central locking module to a convenience one to be able to do what we wanted, we upgraded the wiring to accommodate the change, we used all original parts from another car in the junkyard. We used AutoData to help with the wiring as well as the parts car as reference. We used the 1J0 959 799Q convenience module, now we want to upgrade it to the 1J0 959 799AH one to use the remote control futures. What we need help with is the wiring diagram for the AH version of the module because it has 2 plugs on it instead of the one on the Q version and i cant find any information about it especially what the second plug with the smaller number of pins connects to. Any help will be appreciated
