Booked into the garage for a "Campaign Update" i'm told which in essence is a software update required on this version of the Kodiaq. Not sure i would have received the email until i had the warnings come up. Lessons here i guess is that if you encounter any Sensor warnings etc, contact the garage.

Got some significant warning lights the other day when i started up car but didn't impact driving - see pic attached. Had to return car to garage last July after having it for a few days due to the Drive Assist sensors playing up and needed a full replacement of the 5F Control unit - Infotainment panel was non responsive also. If driving early on a cold morning, i get the the Lane Assist and Sensor errors but appear to go away once the car warms up. Anyway, the warning lights the other day obviously triggered the garage as i received an email to book it in for an appointment due to an error they are receiving "Error: engine control unit. Please visit workshop" Anyone else encounter this ?

Did they replace the Control Unit ? That’s what my garage said they did and not to drive it. Had to order it in. Infotainment system was fully blank !

Nope ! The 5F Control Unit had to be replaced and ordered from HQ. 15 day turnaround in total for me. Having audio issues since whereby a song might clitch anything up to 20 times with audio fading in & out. Quite annoying and waiting on Diagnosis guy to return from holiday !!

Despite the instruction on the Online Manual, the direction on how to remove an existing phone doesn't equate to the steps provided ! Attached are the instructions but not useful ! I finally managed to remove the Android Galaxy. You need to go to the Car Icon (top right-hand corner of the display) - Settings - Connection - Mobile Devices & put the old phone in the bin. Any advice on how to troubleshoot the audio issues still appreciated.

Since the dealer replaced the F5 Control Unit, I'm having audio issues when listening to radio or Apple Carplay where a song might fade in and out after a few seconds and keep occurring intermittently. It's quite annoying and have been troubleshooting it quite a bit without any luck. Was able to re-create it with the dealer yesterday as well and couldn't figure it out. They are due to come back to me on it. It's like an Announcement might be coming through but this setting is turned down to the lowest at 3. Why can't this be turned off ? Have this error displaying "No Wi-fi connection to external hotspot" but this is required for Apple Carplay to operate. The dealer connected his Android Galaxy phone as well but it isn't straight forward to remove an existing connected phone !

Managed to see my friends Selection Plus centre paneling last night and this allows the closure over the charging bays - 1 difference between the Selection & the Selection Plus

See Centre paneling Open & Closed from my Kodiaq 2.0 TDI Selection picked up in July where you can see both Phone holders are constantly Open. Hope this helps.

Have they given you an estimated time, Marietta ? Feel free to DM me and i can give you some more detail but it took 15 days in total. Did you complain privately to Skoda Ireland as well ? If your part arrived in the garage last Thursday 1st August, surely it's a priority to turn around and get the car back to you ! That's v bad out of them.

Hi Marietta. Yes received the car back today. It took 15 days overall from start to finish. They don’t fill you with hope originally but wasn’t too long a wait after all. Hopefully there won’t be any more issues now.

Well said Ootohere. Returned car to the garage on the 17th July and was told the part arrived to the garage today so the replacement is being worked on as we speak. I'll have been without the car for 2 weeks if i receive back tomorrow. Did you get your car back Marietta ?

How did you contact Škoda Ireland as I completed a feedback form on their website and heard nothing back. How did they respond to say they were helpful ? Did you receive a like for like replacement car ? Enterprise Rentals had a Peugeot 3008 for me.

Hi Marietta….No nothing back yet. It occurred last Tuesday night and they have been aware since Wed 17th with no timeframe provided. When did your issue arise and how long are you waiting to hear ?

I've been advised not to drive it and I'm awaiting a replacement car. Actually based in Ireland so it's Skoda Ireland needs to provide the replacement. Car has been documented as "Vehicle Off Road" so marked as high priority according to the garage but they can't give me an estimated time of when the Part will be in. The Unit is actually 5F, and not F4 as originally stated !

Picked up a new 2024 Selection model and was driving it fine for a week. Received Rear Traffic Alert, Vehicle Exit Warning, Park Pilot Malfunction & Dynamic Road Sign Display related errors on Wed evening. It also disabled the Infortainment screen which was unresponsive. Brought it back to the Škoda Dealer I’d just bought it off & they said it’s related to a malfunction on the F4 Central Control Unit & part needs to be ordered. As it’s the new model, a part isn’t showing up yet so God knows how long the wait will be. Not a happy camper ! Anyone else encounter a similar issue ? I saw a previous post of an F5 recall back in 2017/18.
