Options on Winter Alloys/wheels ?
The central hub bore on this Borbet rim should be the same as on genuine Skoda rims. BTW, Borbet is producing OEM rims for Skoda (probably not all Skoda OEM rims). I found OEM rims (at least I hope it is not fake) on ads, but I am not fan of black rims and I am thinking is it better to buy OEM Skoda rims from a reseller or Borbet rims in a store... I found unused 16" genuine Skoda rims for a decent price, but how to be sure that Skoda rims are genuine? Below is link to the rims I am considering to buy. Genuine SKoda rims?

Options on Winter Alloys/wheels ?
I want to order alloy rims and winter wheels. I have 17" summer set, but for winter I am looking for 16" rims, probably Borbet, since they are much cheaper than genuine Skoda rims. Is 3mm offset difference compared to compared to standard ET fine? In Skoda catalogue I found that standard 16" rims dimensions are 6.5j (or 7j), 5x112mm, 57.1mm, ET 46. The Borbet rims I am looking are 6.5j, 5x112mm, 57.1mm, ET 43. I guess this is totally fine, but better to get few it confirmed https://www.felgenoutlet.com/en/alloy-wheels-tyres-packages/skoda-octavia-saloon_vf_32_20561685/borbet-y-crystal-silver_ff_2_2?possible_rim_id=8520&scene=3&suspension=-0.013&vehiclecolor=2&preselect_inch=16

Thanks for the answers. I googled it just after I had posted and realised that it is about directional tyre that must be installed according to the rotation arrow.

Why some wheels have left and right options? More specifically, why complete steel wheels from the link below have right and left side? I understand that asymmetric rims can have different left and right options so those rotate in a same direction, but why this steel wheel set has the different options? Actually, these steel rims have left and right options only when buying them as complete wheels set, so is it something up to the wheel design? https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/en_CZ/complete-winter-wheel-16--octavia-iv/p/5E3073666A https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/en_CZ/steel-wheel-16/p/5Q0601027BQ03C

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly
Got it with 1969 sw. The issue happened few times when I left my car in an shopping mall garage (in very hot environment due to many AC pumping hot air into it).

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly
I have Octavia IV mk2024, which I bough 2 months ago (pre-facelift model). I have experienced infotainment crash several times (Columbus went into restarting loop, most of the sensors became faulty until I restarted the car). I can't be 100% sure, but I think it is related to overheating. This summer was really hot in my country (more than 35 C during the whole summer), for a last few weeks temperature wasn't above 25 C and I had zero issues with infotainment in this period.

Skoda Octavia IV - small scratch repair
I have casco insurance but I don't want to use it for such small repair (150 EUR is deductible). I will try to contact few local car paint shops to see if someone can fix this easily, without deattaching the bumper. But when it comes to unofficial repair shops there is always concern about the matching correct color hue. This Skoda dealer I have visited should be one of the best paint shops in my country (it was private car paint shop previously and those guys were so good so Skoda acquired them). I just didn't have time to leave my new car in the shop for a few days. If I don't fins some reliable paint shop or don't try to fix it with the touch-up pant I'll probably wait for the next summer and then will go to the official shop. The scratch is not so visible, it looks more like a dirt, but it bothers me

Skoda Octavia IV - small scratch repair
Hi, I have 2 months old Skoda Octavia in black magic color. After just 2 weeks someone scratched my front bumper (what happened in my garage shared by several neighbors). The paint is damaged at 3 places, the scratches are small (like 2mm, 3mm and maybe 5mm). Also clearcoat is scratched along a few centimeters. I visited a local dealer to ask if the scratches could be fixed easily, but got information that whole bumper must be repainted and the best option is to use a touch-up paint. Therefore I ordered the touch-up paint and got it yesterday. I am curios if anyone has suggestion how to apply the touch-up paint? What do I need to take care of the most? Can the damage really be fixed properly, or could I make it worse by using the applicator incorrectly? Should I buy a car polish to polish the area after fixing the scratches? if anyone has experience with this applicators, any suggestions are welcome.

Brief clutch smell in brand new car
Not a habit at all, this was single case (I left my garage with Octavia for more than 30 times so far). However, it was much easier to drive on this slope with my old Focus MK1 1.8tdci, I could easily keep RPMs below 1.5k on the slope and never had any issue with the clutch for last 11 years. Probably I have to find an uphill to practice little bit with Octavia

It is maybe 30°, 25°... I don't know, I didn't measure it, nor is that so important for the topic.

Brief clutch smell in brand new car
You misunderstood the situation 😭 The street where the pedestrian was walking is, of course, not at a 45-degree angle. The 45-degree incline I mentioned refers to the ramp leading into my garage, which is perpendicular to the street.

Brief clutch smell in brand new car
It is pretty steep, i would say it is 45 degrees, it happened on entrance to my underground garage, when I was leaving out a pedestrian came along, i had to brake, and when i started moving again the car went backwards and i gave a little more gas.

Brief clutch smell in brand new car
Hi everyone, I have a new car (1.5TSI 150hp M6) with about 1300 km on it. Today, while driving out of my garage, I was on an incline and gave it a bit more gas in first gear. I reached only about 3000 RPM, and this lasted for max 2 seconds. Shortly after, I noticed a smell that seemed like the clutch, but it only lasted for about a minute and then disappeared. I haven't noticed any other issues with the clutch, like slipping or trouble shifting gears. Everything seems fine during regular driving. Is this something I should be concerned about, or is it normal in situations like this?

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly
I have the same issue with my Octavia. The car is 2 weeks old (mk2024, pre-facelift model), so far the issue occurred twice (first time when I took the car, second time today) - Columbus has restarted several times and, after several restarts, went into black screen, few warnings popped out (SOS, parking sensors..). After I pressed the power button for 10 seconds Columbus started again, but warnings remained. All warnings were cleaned upon starting the car again and then I drove my car normally without any issue. SW version is 1969, HW version is H67. I knew for the issue earlier but I thought it is fixed by the SW updates. Otherwise I would be considering buying other car than Skoda. I will check this with my dealer, but reading the forum I am doubt this can be solved.
